Darts 2007 - 1st Half - Week 3 - Red, White & Brew (away)

SUMMARY

A good night except for that stretch of 4 losses in a row....we finished the night 9-6...

THE LOW LIGHTS

"dolla bills" were on the low side tonight...only 14 in fines...we have a recurring theme for the prestigious "Skippy Award" for the night...Ted once again takes top billing...having fines of 5....that's more than 1/3 of the total dolla bills....keep this up and we're renaming it to the "Teddy Award"...but don't worry you should have plenty of money to pay the fines since you're a VAG and don't drink on dart night...that's f'n blasphemy....

Johnny (37.65) and Ed (43.76) both finished under the mendoza line of 45 for average...Johnny struggled at the line all night....and he wanted me to burn the stats this week...sorry kid...no can do...everyone has a bad week...fortunately i know this is more the exception than the rule for you....keep your head up high and get your confidence back when we have home field advantage next week...

Johnny also shot the team low with a 5...

Double ins were much better this week but Ed had the team worse 3 missed ins...

Still a lot of low shots...the kitty picked up 10 in donations for under 20's and C-rules...like I said before...it's not really that hard to hit one fat of the number you are aiming at....

We only had 5 tons all night...and I didn't have any...that has to be a low light....

Missed outs were flying last night...We had 18 missed outs....Ted led the pack with 5 missed outs and Jr was right behind him with 4 missed outs....Johnny and Andy each recorded 3 missed outs...

Ted continues to struggle at cricket only averaging a 1.00...maybe the fizz from your diet coke was tickling your nose and ruined your concentration...

THE HIGH LIGHTS

We had a team average of 46.77...even though I was mocked and scorned for not banging the tons...I still finished the night with the high average of 54.42...Jr shot a nice night at '01 with a 49.34 average...and Teddy is starting to hit the side of a house (oh wait...no he didn't....yes I did...sorry Ed but Andy still loves that story)....Teddy had a 48.46 average and to finish off the averages over 45 was Andy with a 47.01....

Jr and Andy each had 2 tons each...very good fellas....Ted also had a ton...oh wait did I mention I didn't hit a ton...jeez I suck...that board must have been off....

Jeff led the pack with a perfect 4 double ins...not giving Johnny or Andy a shot at an in...Jr and Ed each had 2 in shots...

Jeff padded his stats by nailing 4 double outs last night...Ed did a great job and hit 2 out shots...and soda boy Teddy broke his cherry (or was it cherry coke) and hit his first out of the year...

Jeff (2.67) and Jr (2.44) had the only cricket scores over a 2.0 ...but we have some honorable mentions with scores over 1.50...Ed (1.60), Johnny (1.60) and Andy (1.50)...

Everyone (except Ted) had a >=3-mark round in cricket for 10 total....Jr (3), Johnny (2), Jeff (2), Andy (2), Ed (1)...

YTD Leaders

Average - Jeff (58.73); High Score - Ed (180); Tons - Jeff (7); Double Ins - Jeff (8); Double Outs - Jeff (9)

Cricket Average - Jeff (2.52); >=3-mark rounds - Jeff (8); Overall win % - Kenny (75.00%); Fines (low) - Kenny (4)

CONCLUSION

Not a bad week...but I think we could have won even more games...we did a great job on the in shots with only 5 missed ins which equates to 61.54% .... we still need higher and more consistent scoring and double outs...a team average of 46.77 is a bit too low...we need to push that up closer to 50....and 18 missed outs are way too many...that's only 28%...we gotta hit our outs to win...much better week in cricket....let's strive to consistently improve....
