SUMMARY
Well here we go again...another season under way...and yes for some it appears as if they don't even know what a dart is...but that's ok...i'll give them a one week grace period...but after this it's back to the age ole notion..."you suck...you sit"...we'd like to welcome Matt onto the team...he got christened early and often with the silliness that we call darts...a lot of good laughs last night...if we can only get our dart level to equal our humor level we'll be doing just fine...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" started out with a bang this week...we padded the kitty early and often and racked up 31 in total fines...the leader in the club house and winner of this year's first "Skippy Award" goes to Ted...no surprise there...Ted picking up right where he left off last year...Ted racked up an unprecedented 10 in fines...i'm not sure anyone ever hit double digits in one week...we'll have to go back in the archives and see what we can find...Ted owed 4 for under 20's...5 for missed ins...and 1 for a squat in cricket...Ed (4 missed ins and 3 squats in cricket) and Matt (2 under 20's, 1 C-rule, 4 missed ins) both had 7 in fines...Jr (2 under 20's, 1 C-rule and 1 missed in) had 4 in fines...Andy had 1 C-rule and 1 missed in for a total of 2 in fine....Johnny owed 1 for a squat in cricket...and Jeff was fine free...as the motto goes...if we don't win the night...at least pad the kitty...
this week we missed our goal of a 50 team average...we only had a 46.30 average...Jr led the mess with a measly 33.91 average...his boobie twin Andy came in with a very sub-par 37.23...the other shooters under a 45 average were Ed (42.95) and Matt (44.71)....
as team we shot 38.40% of our shots under a 40...that's a lot of low shots...if we look deeper under the covers once again we see that these culprits had more than 30% of their shots under a 40......Andy had a horrid 64.71% of his shots under a 40...Jr was right behind him with 55.56% of his shots under a 40...Ed had 38.89% of his shots under a 40...Johnny had 37.50% of his shots under a 40...Matt had 36.84% of his shots under a 40...and Ted just misses the mark with 31.58% of his shots under a 40...and the following shooters had at least 1 game average under a 40...the following are their low game average of the night...Ted (16.00), Jr (19.33), Andy (32.50), Matt (34.50), John (35.00), and Ed (36.00)...that's a lot of names on these lists to start the season...let's get focused and consistent...and I don't mean consistently bad....
The following shooters had scores in single digits...Matt shot a 7 and a 9...Jr shot a 6 and Ted shot a 7....
this week we had 17 missed ins...that's not very good...but on the bright side 12 of them were in one game...so that only leaves 5 missed ins for the remaining 7 games...Ed and Ted had 5 missed ins each...Matt had 4 missed ins...Jr, Andy and Jeff had 1 missed in...Johnny was a perfect 1 for 1 at the ins...
this week we had 9 missed outs...on the surface that seems pretty good...but in reality it was mainly because we didn't get down to the out shots in most games...Johnny and Andy each had 2 missed outs...Ed, Jr, Jeff, Ted and Matt each had missed out...
Ed started out with his less than stellar performance at cricket last night...Ed had the lowest average of the night with a 1.00...Ted (1.43), Jr (1.71) and Andy (1.71) round out the under 2.0 club...
Ed had 4 0-mark cricket rounds...John, Jr and Ted each had 1 0-mark cricket round...
Ed, Jr, Ted and Matt each had a 16.67% win rate...
THE HIGH LIGHTS
this week me missed hitting over a 50 team average...Jeff had the highest average of the night with a 65.93...Johnny shot a 50.97 average...and Ted rounds out the over 45 club with a 48.75 average...
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game...and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff was the only shooter to shoot over 70% of his shots over a 40....Jeff shot an impressive 94.44% of his shots over a 40...that equates to only 1 shot under a 40...Jeff (44.33) was the only shooter to average over a 40 every game...
this week we had 8 team tons...Jeff led the way with 3 tons...Ed, John, Jr, Ted and Matt each had 1 ton...Andy wasn't "in the mood" to have any scores in the triple digits...
Johnny had the high score of the night with a "patch shot" of 171...great shot Johnny....Jr had a nice 111....
Jr led the way with 3 double ins (75.00%)...Jeff had 2 double ins (66.67%)...Ed, John and Ted each had 1 double in...Andy went 0-1 and Matt went 0-4 at the ins...
Jeff led the way with 3 double outs...Johnny and Matt each had 1 double out...
Jeff led the way with a 2.71 cricket average...Johnny (2.33) rounds out the over 2.0 club...

CONCLUSION
holy crap...I guess you guys must have been locked up in the house all off season...that's a ton of bloggage...now i got carpal tunnel and i'm going to shoot like the rest of you...haha...at least we had a fun first week...the darting wasn't so good though...let's take a quick look ....3-1 in 801...a nice start...2-6 in 501....now that's bad....1-2 in cricket...that's not good either...next week we play home (at Curran's downstairs) against whatsitsname...let's step up from the "D" game to at least a "C+" next week...baby steps boys...
