SUMMARY
woohoo...back to our winning ways...we shot a very good night...10-5...we had team harmony and just plain old fun...we always seem to shoot our best when we're relaxed and having fun...let's remember that going into the playoffs...let's try and make a serious run at the championship this year... we should have wrapped up 2nd place and a home game in the semi-finals next week against Daddy O's...let's have some fun and put a whipping on them...
what a difference a week makes...everyone seemed to elevate their game play a bit this week (well except Johnny who wasn't exactly on his normal game with just 42.73 average in '01 and 1.0 average in cricket)...Ed was a Jeckel and Hyde...he's either hitting 3 outs or owing 6 bucks...or he's hitting 10 marks in his first 3 rounds or 0 marks in the next 3 rounds....let's stay focused and concentrate on those good shots you hit...Andy was a beast at '01 last night chucking 3 tons and a very nice 56.78....and Ted is starting to come around with another solid week with a 50.81 average and a 2.00 average in cricket....let's hope everyone is getting into their stride right before the playoffs...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" keep on flying....we had 19 in fines this week...we had a few shooters in a race for the prestigious "Skippy Award"...but when the dust cleared there was one man sitting atop that mountain...yes Mr. Edward Roccia achieved Skippy-like status with 8 in fines...and he spread it around pretty good...1 under 20, 1 C-rule, 1 missed in, 1 missed out and 2 squat shots at cricket....6 in fines but still threw a 51.39 average and 3 outs...i call that the best of both worlds...pad the kitty and still have a good night...just imagine how good of a night would have been if you eliminated those fines....Andy looked liked the Jr of last week...BUT maybe we can contribute it to running late and being cold...because he owed the majority of the 5 fines in the first game...then the little loud man started to heat up....Jr followed closely behind with 4 in fines ...2 for under 20 and 1 for missed in and 1 for missed out....Ted and Johnny both contributed 2 fines each...and yours truly got back to his consistency and was fine free...well except for that one round when i thought i had an 18 (an offense punishable by a fine) but in reality I had a 23....
Johnny (42.73) and Jr (45.68) were the only 2 shooters under a 50 average last night....Johnny what happened last night? Hopefully for the playoffs you get back to being the consistent shooter I know you can be....Jr a nice improvement over last week...but you can still do better...but if we look under the covers again we see that everyone (except Ted...wait let me check that again...yup NOT Jeff but Ted) had at least 1 game average under a 40)....Jeff (39.00), Jr (39.00), Johnny (29.33), Andy (24.40) and Ed (36.67)...also if we look even closer we can see that 33.59% of our shots were under a 40...it's improving but I think we have to strive for that percentage to be closer to 20-25%....we need to stay consistent from shot to shot and game to game...
There weren't any under 9's tonight...great job...
We still had a bunch of missed ins this week...we had a team total of 11 missed ins...Ed led the way with 4 missed ins...Ted had 3 missed ins...I don't think Ted can handle the pressure yet of being the 1st in shooter...I'll move you back to 2nd and hopefully we get the guy who nails that double 11...Jr had 2 missed ins...and Jeff and Johnny each had 1 missed in...Andy went a perfect 1 for 1...good job little man..."B" team you have to start hitting those ins especially in the playoffs...
Holy crap...I didn't realize it but we had an obscene amount of missed outs...20....that's pretty horrible...Ted led the way with 5 missed outs...Jr and Andy each had 4 missed outs...Ed and Johnny each had 3 missed outs ...and Jeff had 1 missed out...guys that's a ton of missed outs...we NEED to do a better job...fortunately this team couldn't hit an out shot either or we wouldn't have won as many games...focus on those out shots...take your time and line it up...there isn't any rush...focus on the target and hit it...guys we have to hit the outs to win in the playoffs...practice that double ring....
We had 3 shooters below the mendoza line of 2.0 in cricket ....Ed (1.57), Johnny (1.00), and Andy (1.20)...we also had 2 shooters right at the mendoza line...Jeff and Ted both had a 2.00 average...not very good shooting in cricket this week...the playoffs may come down to winning cricket...normally we're solid...let's get back to our winning ways....Johnny that's 2 bad weeks in a row of cricket...pull your head out of your ass and get back to your solid shooting...Ed you started out great with 10 marks in the first 3 rounds...then you follow that up with 3 squat shots....ughghgh....stay focused the whole game....
THE HIGH LIGHTS
We had another nice team average this week of 51.29....Everyone (except Jr and Johnny) shot over a 50 this week...Jeff led the way with his 4th week in a row with over a 60 average...this week I threw a 60.35....after the first game the little loud man Andy heated up and ended the night with a very impressive 56.78 average...great job Andy....Ted remained consistent and shot a 50.81...Ed had another nice average of 51.39...great averages guys...keep up the good work....
We had 9 tons again this week...Jeff and Andy led the way with 3 tons each....Ed, Jr and Ted each contributed 1 ton....Jeff had the high score of the night with a 142...in case you don't remember let's recap how that went...NoocH steps to the board with 167 remaining....first dart nails the trip 20....the second dart nails the trip 19....the third dart looks good...it still looks good....oh crap wired the double bull ....just missing what could have been a legendary 167 double out (by a f'n wire)....but a 142 shot and a win in the game will have to do for now....love those tons...keep up the good work...
Andy shot a perfect 1 for 1 in double ins....Jeff went 3 for 4 at the ins....Ted added 2 ins....Ed, Jr and Andy each contributed 1 in shot....let's concentrate on killing those ins...
Jeff and Ed led the way with 3 out shots each...Andy shot 2 outs and Johnny shot 1 out...We need each team and every shooter to help contribute to the outs...don't forget we had 20 missed outs...that's a lot of missed outs...we have to starting hitting the outs more consistently....
A pretty bad week at cricket...we went 1-2...Jr shot a great 3.20 average....Jeff and Ted had a 2.00 average...but we still had 3 scores under a 2.0...Jr and Andy are the team with the win...Jeff and Johnny got destroyed in cricket tonight...we normally shoot very good in cricket...i'll chalk it up to a bad week...let's come ready in the playoffs to nail our cricket wins...
Jr shot a very nice 3 >=3-mark rounds...Ted and Ed each had 2 >=3-mark rounds...This was the first week all year that Jeff didn't have a >=3-mark round...I hate when that happens....
Andy went a perfect 7-0 for the night...followed closely by Jeff and John who went 6-1....great shooting...

CONCLUSION
Guys we made some strides in average this week with a team average of 51.29...but had 20 missed outs...we need to hit the outs to win in the playoffs...great job on the wins though guys...we should have secured a home game in the semi-finals next week against Daddy O's...
We had 19 in fines...that's a lot of green...and in case you forgot from last week....i found a new way to help lower the fines...it's called PRACTICE!!!
We had 4 people over a 50 average and 3 people at or over a 2.0 average in cricket...i'd like to see everyone shooting these types of scores week in and week out....
Let's have some fun next week and beat up on Daddy O's...
