SUMMARY
talk about terrible...our 2nd losing week in a row...I felt like we were shooting with people new to darts last night...Twenty f'n four dollars in fines...that's horrible...we're in the middle of a playoff run and some people didn't even look like they wanted to be there...if you are there how bout some effort...everyone has more skill than they showed last night...try picking up a f'n dart during the week and throwing it at that round thing with the bunch of wedges...jeez you might be surprised how good you can be....
well we lost 7-8...now we are tied for 2nd place...the last thing i want to do is have to go to daddy o's the first round of the playoffs...they play forest hills this week and we play bodans...forest hills all but locked up first place....and bodans is fighting for the 4th playoff position...so we're going to have our hands full...start practicing so we can have confident and consistent shooters at the line...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were flying for the 3nd week in a row...we had 24 in fines...trumpets sound!!!...Jr is the winner of the prestigious "Skippy Award"...that's right...good ole Jr looked like a worse version of skippy last night...oh my f'n god...i haven't seen that many under 20's in one night in a long long time...Jr led the way with 9 fines and 8 of them were under 20's...for as athletic as you are how the hell can you shoot that bad? don't let your pride get in the way...if you can't hit the 20's move along to another number....8 under 20's is a pathetic display of darts...Johnny was a close 2nd with 6 in fines...2 missed ins, 2 squats in cricket, an under 20 and a C-rule...well at least you spread it around...Ted contributed 4 fines...Jeff and Andy contributed 2 fines each because the new #1,2,3 team couldn't hit the f'n in shots...ughghggh....and Ed chucked 1 under 20....let me say this again....24 in fines is great for the kitty but horrible for your pockets and our dart scores...practice up you hooligans...
It comes as no surprise that Jr had a horrible average...that's right 35.57...and this statistician did some research and found out that it was the lowest average of the year except for Andy's pathetic 31.98 in week 7...Ed was the only other shooter this week under a 50 average...he had a very poor 40.96 average...guys those averages have to be close to 50 to compete....but if we look under the covers again we see that everyone (except Jeff) had at least 1 game average under a 40)....Jr (17.00), Johnny (34.60), Andy (30.00), Ed (28.40) and Ted (32.67)...also if we look even closer we can see that 37.78% of our shots were under a 40...to me that still seems like a very high percent of bad shots...that just goes to show the inconsistencies from game to game...we gotta strive to hit good scores every round and good averages every single game so we have a chance to shoot at the outs...
well he didn't shoot a 1...but he did shoot 4 (yup I didn't stutter)...4 under 9's...Jr you gotta start shooting better than that...how bout chucking some darts at the dartboard in your living room like when you first started playing (ie when you were consistent)....
We struggled at in shots this week...esp Jeff, John and Andy who owed 2 fines each for missed ins...we had a team total of 10 missed ins...and I led the way with 4 missed ins...that's pretty bad for anyone...and especially me...Ed and Jr rounded it off with 1 missed in each...thank god teddy was on fire for their team...that's way too many....we gotta do a better job at hitting the ins more consistently...
We had 11 missed outs this week....an improvement over the 21 missed outs last week...but still too many misses....Ed and Johnny led the way with 3 missed outs each, Jeff and Ted had 2 missed outs each and Andy had 1 missed out....Jr didn't even get a shot at an out...let's focus on those doubles....
guys start practicing (in general..but mostly on) the double ring...we need to kill the ins and outs if we expect to do anything in the playoffs...
We had 4 shooters below the mendoza line of 2.0 in cricket...Johnny and Ted led the mess with dismal 1.00 averages....ughghgh....Johnny what happened last night you are normally a rock...Ted you gotta stop beginning games with 2 squat shots...i thought you turned the corner...not a good time for a relapse...we need you kid....good double cork to finish the game though...on the good side both of you were on winning teams....Jr (1.75) and Andy (1.88) rounded off the shooters under 2.0....they jumped out to a huge lead only to give it away when they failed to hit the cork....
Jr went 0-7 last night...Ed and Ted went 1-6....on paper the two teams seem like they should be properly matched...can we chalk this night up to a bad night? or do we need to work on realigning the teams? if you have any thoughts please let me know....
THE HIGH LIGHTS
We had a very nice team average of 50.12....Everyone (except Jr and Ed) shot over a 50 this week...Jeff led the way with his 3rd very high average week in a row...this week I threw a 65.69....Ted remained consistent and shot a 53.70, Andy had a 53.20 and Johnny shot a 51.61.....great averages guys...keep up the good work....
We had 9 tons this week...Jeff led the way with 4 tons and 1 of them was a 140...Ted shot a very nice 3 tons....nice consistent shooting Ted...Andy and Johnny each had a ton....love those tons...keep up the good work...
Ted shot a perfect 4 for 4 at the ins this week...awesome job...if only you got some help from your team mates you might have won some games...Jeff and Johnny had 2 ins each....
Jeff and Andy led the way with 2 out shots each...Jeff shot a very nice 79 out...Johnny contributed 1 out shot as well....We need each team and every shooter to help contribute to the outs...Ed missed 3 out shots for his team and Ted missed 2 out shots for his team...when we get down to the outs we have to start hitting them....
Another decent week at cricket...we went 2-1...but we still had 4 scores under a 2.0...Jeff led the way with a 2.78 average to help carry Johnny's 1.00 average...Ed shot a very nice 2.43 average to help carry Ted's 1.00 average....and Andy (1.88) and Jr (1.75) shot a consistent game until the end when they couldn't hit points or bulls.....which resulted in our 1 cricket loss...stay focused guys...we may have to win in cricket to win in the playoffs...
Everyone (except Ted) shot at least 1 >=3-mark round...Jeff led the way with an astonishing 6 (66.67%) with one of them being a 7-mark round...Ed shot 3 @ 42.86%...Jr contributed 2 and Andy and Johnny had 1 each...love those high mark rounds...keep up the good work...

CONCLUSION
Guys now is not the time to be inconsistent...we only have one week then playoffs start...we need to win big this week to sure up 2nd place and a semi-final home game....hopefully we can mark up this week to jet/driving lag from myrtle...get some good rest this coming week and come ready to play...we play Bodan's away...
We had 11 missed outs and 10 missed ins....let's try and get them in single digits...once again everyone (except Jeff) threw at least one game with an average under a 40...we have to shoot consistent shot to shot and game to game....just imagine how high your averages would be if you eliminated those bad games....we had a bunch of averages in the 50's with low games in the 30's....you bump that game up and your averages will start being in the mid 50's...
We had 24 in fines...that's a lot of cabbage...i found a new way to help lower the fines...it's called PRACTICE!!!
We had 4 people over a 50 average and 2 people over a 2.0 average in cricket...i'd like to see everyone shooting these types of scores week in and week out....
Let's get all the bad shooting behind us a make a run at the playoffs this year...
