SUMMARY
well we only needed 2 wins to secure 1st place...and as usual you could hear the sound of the pucker across the room...we start out with one win only to lose 6 games in a row....so let's hope our playoff pucker showed up one week early this year and we got it out of our system for good....because we turned the second half of the night around by going 6-2 in the last 8 games....that finishes the night at 7-8 ...a losing week but safely secured us first place...we seemed to be very streaky all night....missed outs were very high at 17 and missed ins weren't great either at 11....but our averages were hot and cold...but our team average was at 50.95 and our cricket average was at 2.66...our under the covers slipped a bit with 35.88% of our shots under a 40...hopefully we got the inconsistency out of our system and we are ready to "lay the smackdown" on our playoff opponents...who at this time is unknown since the final standings aren't posted...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were on the rise again with 18 in fines...and for the first week in 7 weeks Ed is not the top dog...the last week of the first half's recipient of the prestigious "Skippy Award" is....drum roll please....and how apropos that it's a tie between the boobie twins Jr and Andy...they both had 5 in fines...Jr had 2 under 20, 1 C-rule, and 2 squats in cricket....Andy had 1 under 20, 1 C-rule, 1 missed in and 2 missed outs...Jeff and Johnny both had 3 in fines...1 for missed ins and 2 for missed outs....Ed goes from worst to "almost" first with only 2 in fines for 2 under 20's...and surprise surprise...I guess Ted didn't want to donate this week since he owed a big fat goose egg...which from the looks of things appears to be the only time that has happened for anyone....good shooting Ted....
The boobie twins Jr and Andy were our 2 shooters under a 45 average this week...Jr shot a 44.31 and Andy shot a 43.00....I guess no more early pre-parties at Johnny's for you two...
"under the covers" slipped a little this week...if we look under the covers once again we see the following culprits had at least 1 game average under a 40....Ted (29.75), Jr (30.67), Ed (35.00) and Andy (36.00)...we had 35.88% of our shots under a 40....Andy was "sucky sucky" under the covers which makes us believe his kids are really the mail mans....he had a horrendous 47.62% of his shots under a 40....Ted had 42.86% of his shots under a 40...Ed had 37.50% of his shots under a 40...and Jr had 34.78% of his shots under a 40....let's get the consistency back fellows...
We had 2 shooters with scores in the single digits...Jr shot a 3??? is it just me or is that pretty low...ughghghg....Ed shot a 7....single digits suck...pick up the pace....guys when all else fails let's aim for the big fat part....let's try and make sure each round we shoot is at least over a 40 (at a minimum)...
we go from 3 missed ins last week to 11 this week...and I led the crap parade with 4 missed ins...that's sucks on any standard let alone my standards....i pretty much couldn't touch that double ring consistently last night to save my life...Ed had 3 missed ins...so combined our first shooters were 2 for 7....not exactly what i consider the "lead by example" mentality we need....Johnny had 2 missed ins...Jr and Andy had 1 missed in each...Ted was a perfect 1 for 1...good job Ted...
missed outs went from 9 last week to 17 this week...that's not the kind of consistency we were looking for...the so-called "A" team couldn't find the triple ring last night...with 5 missed outs each...that sucks...Ted had 2 missed outs...we have to get back to single digit missed outs again...practice those doubles...
the normally consistent cricket shooter Jr was the only shooter under the 2.0 mendoza line cricket average with a 1.33 average...but somehow thy won that game....
we had only 2 total squat shots in cricket....and with that 1.33 average it's no surprise they both came from Jr...
NOBODY finished the night with over a 50% win rate...Everyone finished with a 42.86% win rate...not very good...wins are key...let's get back to getting lots of them....
THE HIGH LIGHTS
we had another nice week with a team average of 50.95....Jeff led the way with a very nice 67.88 average...I started out slow but once I realized I had to move back from the kick plate I started shooting more consistent....I'd like to welcome Johnny back to the over 50 club with a very nice 52.89 average...Ted just missed the 50 average and ended the night with a 49.72 average...and Ed rounds out the over 45 club with a 47.90 average...
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game.......and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff led the way with a lowest game score of 42.00.....Johnny had a low game of 40.33....Johnny also led the way with 75% of his shots over a 40....that translates to only 5 shots under a 40...Jeff had 72.73% of his shots over a 40.....which translates to 6 shots under a 40....good job "over the covers" people...esp those that are on the list for the first time.....that's some great consistent shooting guys....i love consistency and this stat helps show it....I'm glad we keep seeing some new names on this list....
last week we had 12 tons and this week we only had half of that at 6 tons for the week...it took a while but I finally found the triple ring and ended the night with 4 tons...and 2 of them were 140's and one of the 140 was a very nice double out (which I called)....Ed and Johnny each had 1 ton....love those tons...keep hitting them...
this week we were ONLY 42.11% at the in shots...way down from the over 70% mark we set last week...Johnny and Jr led the way with 2 double ins...Ed, Andy, Jeff and Ted each had 1 double in...I like that we spread them out...BUT our first shooter MUST do a better and more consistent job...
a very weak effort at double outs this week...but on the bright side Jeff led the night with 2 double outs and one of them was a very impressive 140 double out...we'll detail this out in our new section "Quotes & Recap"...Ed and Ted each hit one double out...when we get shots at the outs we must take our time and focus and hit them consistently...
our team cricket average was very high this week at 2.66....Johnny led the way with awesome 4.0 cricket average...that's the second highest average in cricket this half....it was only behind my 4.25 in the second week of the season...awesome job Johnny....and to compliment Johnny's great shooting Jeff shot a 3.67 average for one of the quickest games we've seen...Ed shot a very good 3.0 average...Ted and Andy shot a 2.0 average....and that's it for the over 2.0 cricket average club (only Jr didn't make the club this week)...
Johnny and Jeff led the way with 3 >=3-mark rounds...Ted and Ed each had 2 >= 3-mark rounds....Jr and Andy each had 1 >= 3-mark rounds...Ed had 2 5-mark rounds and Johnny had 1 5-mark round....Jeff had 2 4-mark rounds and Johnny had 1 4-mark round...
NOBODY had over a 50% win rate...not very good...

801-1 -- Jr shot a 3 and Ed shot a 125...to which Andy gives it to Ed by saying "Nice 5"
801-4 -- The "A" team has 12 missed outs...and a loss...
501-4 -- our first win after 6 straight losses...Jeff misses an in, then hits 140, 81 then 40 for the out...not bad 110.50 average and the out...if only I could hit an in last night...
501-5 -- Ed gets in his first round then proceeds to take 77 out....very nice out Ed...
501-6 -- the lackluster "A" team owes fines for missed ins...Jeff gets on with an 82...followed by Johnny's ton...Jeff hits a 66 on his second round...and annoyed at losing sees that the best assist man in the business leaves 140....Jeff turns and says...no problem...Triple 20, Triple 20, Double 10....Jeff steps to the line and his prediction came true...a 140 out...our highest out EVER...."and I called it".....
Cricket-2 -- possible the best cricket game we've ever seen...Jeff starts with 3 20's...Johnny hits three 19's....Jeff hits 4 17's...Johnny hits 3 18's and 2 16's....Jeff hits 1 16 and 3 15's...Johnny finishes it out with 4 corks....6 total rounds with every round >=3-marks....now that's a great cricket game...
Talking about rookie wrapping his car around a tree....Andy states "there are more trees than houses and you hit one of them"....
Jeff busted on Andy by imitating him "I am 171 man I hit trip 19's 3 at a time"....
not sure who said it or why...but it's on my sheet...."10 minutes? who else is going"
and to cap the night off...Andy screamed...."I haven't shot well but have a ton of quotes"....
CONCLUSION
a very good half....we moved up a division and finished in first place...with only 6 shooters each week we don't have any distractions and shoot very well together...and we do it by having fun....at this time the standings aren't updated so we don't know who will will be playing in the first round of the playoffs next week....but what we do know is that we will be playing at home...let's have some fun and play relaxed and confidently....we must be consistent throughout all of our games....practice up boys...
