SUMMARY
the first week in division 5 was not what we would have liked...we lost to forrest hills 6-9...we did not shoot very consistent...we had 13 missed ins and an astounding 27 missed outs...that's pretty horrible...we will not be able to compete in any division with 27 missed outs...21 of those missed outs were from the "A" team in two games they should have won...on the bright side everyone had over a 50 average this week (except Jr)...we had 10 team tons...we also had a great 2.27 team cricket average...so we have it inside of each and every one of us to shoot well...we just have to do it consistently...and we MUST learn to hit that double ring when we have a chance to...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were flying again this week...we had 20 in total fines...Jr (3 missed ins and 2 under 20's) and Ted (3 missed ins, 1 under 20 and 1 C-rule) led the way and took the playoff prestigious "Skippy Award" with 5 in fines each ...Ed was in second place with 3 missed ins, and 1 under 20...Jeff, Johnny and Andy each had 1 missed out and 1 under 20....
Jr was the only shooter under a 45 this week...he just missed the mendoza line with a 44.95...
if we look "under the covers" we see that as a team we had 34.71% of our shots under a 40...if we look under the covers once again we see the following culprits had at least 1 game average under a 40....Jeff (24.33), Jr (28.67), Andy (33.80), Ted (37.33), and Ed (39.50)...under 40 is bad enough but 2 of us (including me) under a 30...not very good at all...Jr had 47.62% of his shots under a 40...Ed had 45.45% of his shots under a 40...Johnny and Andy each had 36.84% of his shots under a 40...
We had 2 shooters with scores in the single digits...Jr and Andy each shot a 9...single digits suck...pick up the pace....guys when all else fails let's aim for the big fat part....let's try and make sure each round we shoot is at least over a 40 (at a minimum)...
As a team we had 13 missed ins...the "B" team led the way with 11 of them...Ed and Jr each had 4 missed ins....Ted had 3 missed ins...Jeff and Johnny had 1 missed in each...we have to do better getting into the games next week...focus on that double ring....

Ed (1.86) and Andy (1.50) failed to get over a 2.0 average in cricket this week...gotta do better fellas...
Ted, Andy and Ed had one squat shot each in cricket....
Jr led the stink parade with only a 14.29% win rate...Ed and Ted only finished at 28.57%....and Andy rounds out the under 50% club with a 42.86% win rate...
THE HIGH LIGHTS
we had a team average of 53.12...that's some good shooting...Jeff led the way with a 60.93 average...imagine if I didn't sucky sucky that one game where I shot a 24.33....Andy (55.47), Ted (54.95), Johnny (51.80) and Ed (50.62) each shot well enough to average over a 50...great job with the averages boys...
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game.......and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Johnny was the only shooter last night to have a low game over a 40...his lowest game last night was 40.33...good job Johnny...Jeff led the way with 80.95% of his shots over a 40...that translates to 4 shots under a 40...Ted shot 78.95% of his shots over a 40...which translates to only 4 shots under a 40...good consistent shooting Ted...i love consistency and this stat helps show it....I'm glad we keep seeing some new names on this list....
gotta love double digit tons...this week we had 10 team tons...Jeff led the way with 3 tons...Johnny and Ted each had 2 tons...Ed, Jr and Andy each had 1 ton...love those tons...keep hitting them...
Andy and Ted had the high scores last night with 121...Jr was right behind them with a 120...
Jeff (3 @ 75%) and Ed (3 @ 42.86%) led the way with double ins...Andy and Ted each had one double in...once again we must find that double ring more consistently...
the double outs were spread out...Johnny, Andy, Jeff and Ted each had 1 out to make it a 4 way tie for the YTD lead...who's going to step up next week and take sole possession of the lead..when we get shots at the outs we must take our time and focus and hit them consistently...
we had a great 2.27 team cricket average this week...Jeff led the way with a huge 4.0 cricket average...Johnny had a 2.25 cricket average which was helped by his awesome 3 cork final round...Jr and Ted round out the 2.0 and over club by hitting 2.0...
Jeff led the way with 3 >=3-mark rounds...Ed, Johnny, Jr and Ted each had 2 >= 3-mark rounds...Andy had 1 >= 3-mark round...it's nice to see everyone hit at least one this week...
Jeff and Johnny were the only 2 shooters over a 50% win rate...they had a 57.14% win rate least night...we need everyone to be over 50% win rate...we love wins...

501-8 -- Jeff gets on with a 32...Andy hits a 121 and 83...but 6 missed outs leads to yet another loss...
Cricket-1 -- Ed and Ted win...Ed had 2 4-mark rounds...Ted had 1 4-mark round...
Cricket-2 -- Jeff and Johnny win...Jeff had 2 5-mark rounds and 1 4-mark round ...Johnny bangs out 3 corks to win the game...
Cricket-3 -- Jr and Andy lose...Jr banged out a 5-mark round...
CONCLUSION
the start to the second half didn't go as planned...we started with a losing week...we had chances but 27 missed outs doesn't help the cause...but we had some nice team averages in '01 and cricket...so we have the potential....we just need to be consistent at the double ring...next week we play Coach's at home...let's get back to our winning ways...
