SUMMARY
the first half of the 2nd half didn't go quite as well as we may have hoped...we start out strong jumping out to a 4-2 lead...then in a dramatic turn of events we drop 6 501 games in a row....disgusting...well we played Tacony Billiards...they moved down from division 3...they used to be the old CJ Mulligans...and we lose the night 6-9...not exactly how I pictured the start of the new half...it was obvious that alot of the shooters haven't touched a dart since the last half...unacceptable at this division...we have to throw on a regular basis in order to compete...now maybe this week was just a fluke since Ed was playing sick and Johnny had to miss the night due to his sinus infection and pink eye...so I guess I'll give a one week grace period and hopefully we come back next week ready to play...
THE LOW LIGHTS
well what would a start to the new half be without padding the kitty with a bunch of fines..."dolla bills" were flying high for the first week of the 2nd half...we had 26 in total fines...we have a 2 way tie for the prestigious "Skippy Award"....Ed and Andy both owed 6....BUT with Andy abandoning a team mate in the middle of the match will most likely tack on a minimum of 5 more in fines plus a fine for each round he missed during the match...this will be up to a team vote next week to prevent this travesty from EVER happening again...sorry dude tough love is the way I run this team....haha....Ed had 2 under 20's, 2 C-rules and 2 missed ins....Andy had 3 under 20's, 1 missed in and 2 squats at cricket....Jr (4) had 2 under 20's and 2 missed ins....Ted (4) had 1 under 20, 2 missed ins and 1 squat in cricket...Bill (4) had 1 under 20, 1 C-rule, 1 missed in and 1 squat at cricket...Jeff (2) had 1 missed in and 1 squat at cricket...
No wonder Andy went home with his tail between his legs...look at the low pathetic average he chucked up last night...37.69...not exactly your best effort little loud man...Ed was the only other shooter that fell under a 45 average with a 44.54 average...
as a team we did a pretty bad job under the covers...we shot 38.89% of our shots under a 40....and we we take my rounds out of the mix that number jumps up to 44.76%....not good by any standards....but if we look deeper under the covers once again we see that these culprits had more than 30% of their shots under a 40......shocker...Andy led the way with 63.16% of his shots under a 40...WOW that's alot of crappy shots...Ed also didn't light the world on fire either with 54.55% of his shots under a 40....Bill had 42.86% of his shots under a 40....Ted had 38.10% of his shots under a 40...and the following shooters had at least 1 game average under a 40...Andy (27.33), Ted (30.75), Jr (31.00), Ed (34.00) and Bill (35.33)....
We didn't have any under 9's this week....I guess that's a little silver lining?
we had 11 missed ins this week...while that's right around the mendoza line for missed ins it just seemed like they cost us at least an opportunity at 2 wins...Ed led the way with 3 missed ins...Jr, Jeff and Ted all had 2 missed ins....and Andy and Bill each had 1 missed in...
We only had 8 missed outs...on the surface that seems good but on the other hand it probably means we didn't even have a shot at outs in most games which is not so good...Jr had 3 missed outs...Andy and Ted both had 2 missed outs...Ed had 1 missed out...Bill didn't even have a shot at an out...and Jeff was a perfect 2 for 2 at hitting the outs...
Andy posts the lowest cricket average of the night with a horrid 0.67...wow those 0's start accumulating when you aren't even there to throw your round...Ted certainly didn't light the board very much with a measly 1.29 average...Jr only shot a 1.40 average to round out the under 2.0 club...
Andy had 5 0-mark cricket rounds...Ted had 3 0-mark cricket rounds...Jr had 2 0-mark cricket rounds....Ed, Jeff and Bill each had 1 0-mark cricket rounds...that's 13 rounds (39 darts) in cricket where we didn't turn one light on the board...not very good....
Jr and Andy finished the night with only a 28.57% win rate...Ed, Jeff, Ted and Bill only had a 42.86% win rate...you know you didn't have a good week when everyone is under a 50% win rate...
THE HIGH LIGHTS
this week we had a team average of 50.38...Jeff padded the team average with the highest average of the night (72.47)...Bill (51.53) was the only other shoot with over a 50 average...Jr (48.41) and Ted (47.66) round out the over 45 club...
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game...and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff's was the only shooter with over a 40 average every game...Jeff's lowest average was 56.00...and after further review my lowest average of the night is higher than everyone else's average for the night...Jeff (90.48% or 2 shots) and Jr (72.73% or 6 shots) were the shooters to have over 70% of their shots over a 40...
this week we had 9 team tons...Jeff led the way with 4 tons...Bill had 2 tons...Jr, Andy and Ted had 1 ton each...Ed wasn't "in the mood" to have any scores in the triple digits...
Ted had the high score of the night with a 140...I'll let Jeff sneak in with a 108 as a good high score since it was on an in shot...
Jeff (3 @ 60.00%) and Ed (3 @ 50.00%) led the way with double ins this week...Jr and Bill had 1 double in each...Ted went 0-2 and Andy went 0-1....
Jeff led the way with 2 double outs (a perfect 2-2)...Jr and Ted had 1 double out each...
Jeff led the way with a 3.0 cricket average...Ed shot a nice 2.25 and Bill surprisingly shot a 2.17 with a very solid game...
Jeff led the way with 5 @ 71.43% >=3-mark rounds...Ed (3 @ 37.50%), Bill (2 @ 33.33%), Jr (1 @ 10.00%) and Ted (1 @ 14.29%) had the other >= 3-mark rounds...Andy didn't feel like hitting any >=3-mark rounds....bad Andy...

501-6 -- Jeff misses the in...Bill gets in...Andy follows that up with a 17....another loss...
501-7 -- 6 missed ins....Ed finally gets in....they Ed has a C-rule...with the 7 shots they finally get the highest round was only a 46...another loss...
501-8 -- Jeff's game looked like this...hits the in...hits a ton...hits a 95....Andy throws a 16 somewhere in the mix....and in the shortest game of the night we lose our 6th straight...holy f'n crap we suck...
Cricket-1 -- Ed shoots 2, 5, 2, 3, 3, 2, 0, 1...Ted shoots 2, 2, 0, 3, 2, 0, 0....3 missed rounds at cork but somehow they find a way to win...
Cricket-2 -- Jeff shoots 4, 0, 5, 2, 4, 3, 3...Bill shoots 0, 4, 4, 2, 1, 3...I thought the back to back squats in the 2nd and 3rd round of the game was going to seal our fate...but fortunately we managed to hit a trip 20 for points at will...we finished the game with 16 marks at the 20...woohoo back to back wins...

CONCLUSION
not a very good week...on paper i think it looks better than it actually was...we had 11 missed ins, 8 missed outs and a team average of 50.38...they all seem like decent enough stats but obviously something happened since we lost 6 games in a row...that's not very good and is inexcusable...on the bright side Jeff starts out very strong with a 72.47 average, a 3.00 cricket average, 4 tons, 90.48% of his shots over a 40, 2 outs (100%), 3 ins (60%) and 5 >=3-mark rounds (71.43%)...Ted had the high of the night with a 140....Bill had a solid week filling in for Johnny with a 51.53 average and a 2.17 cricket average.......but none of that really matters if we can't win f'n games...we need to get back to basics of hitting what we are actually aiming for...play as a team and support each other...let's try this again next week and right our wrongs...next week we play away at Prince Cafe...this team moved up from division 5...
