SUMMARY
the second week of the 2nd half was a good one...we played away at Prince Cafe and we won 11-4...we did a lot of things very good tonight...we only had 3 missed ins...that helped the 501 cause out tremendously...we went 7-1 in 501...not too bad...we did however have 21 missed outs...that's not very good...but 13 of them were in one game (leaving a net of only 8 missed outs) and we eventually won that game...this was a very sporadic week at average...we had 5 shooters over a 50 average and 2 shooters under a 40 average and one shooter right around a 40 average...talk about under the covers...can't wait to see how that pans out...we had 5 shooters with a double out and 2 of those were multiple outs...Cricket averages were the same as '01 averages...we had 3 shooters over a 2.0...2 shooters under a 1.50 and Andy should have walked out again this week...as he only had a 0.60 average in cricket compared to his 0.67 average last week when he left...I think Bill might be getting some time in cricket next week...overall a fairly decent week...now if we can only convince some of the players to actually hit what they are aiming at we'd be even that much better...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were high again this week...we had 20 in total fines...Ed has the distinction of winning the prestigious "Skippy Award"....Ed for the second week in a row owed 6....he had 4 under 20's and 2 missed outs...Jr and Bill each had 4 in fines...Jr had 2 under 20's and 2 missed outs...Bill had 3 under 20's and 1 C-rule...Ted had 3 in fines...1 under 20 and 2 missed outs...Johnny had 2 in fines for under 20's...Andy almost looked like he was going to go fine free...but wait he played cricket and that can only mean one thing...1 fine for squat shot...Jeff went fine free...
there were some bad cricket averages last night...Bill led the mess with a measly 36.63 average...guess you shouldn't be "talking it up" about coming in 2nd place in average last week...we operate on the what have you done for me lately mentality...Andy wasn't far behind with his 2nd week in a row with a sub-40 average...this week Andy shot a 39.67...Ed rounds out the under 45 club with only a 41.39 average...guys there isn't any excuse not to average over a 45 each week...hit the big fatties rather than trying to pick trips...get yourself in a groove and stay with it...
as a team we did a pretty bad job under the covers for the 2nd week in a row...we shot 40.15% of our shots under a 40....and if we take my rounds out of the mix (i only had 1 shot under 40 out of 22 shots) that number jumps up to 48.70%....that's almost 50% of our shots under a 40...definitely not very good....but if we look deeper under the covers once again we see that these culprits had more than 30% of their shots under a 40......Ed led the crap parade with 63.16% of his shots under a 40...Bill had 62.50% of his shots under a 40...Andy had 55.56% of his shots under a 40...Johnny had 40% of his shots under a 40...Ted had 35.29% of his shots under a 40...I'm going to let Jr slide into the over the cover category because it's lonely there all by my self...that's a lot of low shots...I'm always surprised how we can shoot such bad shots and still win by a large margin...I guess it's one of those freaks of nature...and the following shooters had at least 1 game average under a 40...Ed (21.83), Andy (22.00), Bill (26.00), Jr (28.25), Johnny (32.67) and Ted (35.50)....not very good...
We had 4 under 9's this week...Ed (9, 9)...Jr (5) and Ted (9)...you know my feelings about under 9's...ughghghgh...

Andy posts the lowest cricket average of the night with a horrid 0.60...and I thought he couldn't get lower than last week's 0.67 when he pulled his wanderer routine...but much to our surprise he shot even lower being here...interesting...Johnny had an uncharacteristically low average of 1.43...Ed rounds out the under 2.0 club with a 1.83...
Andy had 2 0-mark cricket rounds...Johnny had 1 0-mark cricket round...
Everyone finished the night with over a 50% win rate...
THE HIGH LIGHTS
this week we had a team average of only 49.31...you know I hate when we don't average at least 50...Jeff led the way with week with a 60.31 average...Ted (55.49), Johnny (54.00) and Jr (52.38) all had nice averages over 50...
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game...and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff's was the only shooter with over a 40 average every game...Jeff's lowest average was 50.33...Jeff (95.45% or 1 shot) and Jr (68.00% or 8 shots - letting him slide) were the shooters to have over 70% of their shots over a 40...
this week we had 11 team tons...Jr led the way with 4 tons...Johnny, Jeff and Ted had 2 tons each...Bill had 1 ton...Ed and Andy weren't "in the mood" to have any scores in the triple digits...
Johnny had the high score of the night with a very impressive "patch shot" of 171...Ted had a nice 125...
Jeff was a perfect 4 for 4 this week at the double ins...Ed (2 @ 66.67%) had a good week at his 3 tries...Jr had 1 double in...and Ted was a perfect 1 for 1...

CONCLUSION
who doesn't love double digit win? we limited the missed ins which helped tremendously in the 501 games...Johnny banged out a huge 171...we spread the outs around...but there are still things we need to focus on...like hitting the number we are aiming at...our under the covers stats are horrible...no matter how we look at it winning 11-4 is a very good week...
