SUMMARY
After last week it was hard to imagine what this week was going to look like...but fortunately in Week 3 we played the last place team...and boy did that help...looks like Matt H might have picked up a dart or two during the week...but his buddy Ed probably didn't seem so inclined...but on the bright side yours truly banged out the first 180 of the year...
THE LOW LIGHTS
Fines came back down to reality this week with only 18 in total fines...and the winner of this weeks prestigious "Skippy Award" is Ed...Ed had 6 in fines for 2 under 20's, 1 C-rule, 1 missed in and 2 squats in cricket...Andy (2 under 20's, 1 C-rule and 1 missed out) had 4 in fines....Johnny (1 C-rule and 1 missed out), Jr (1 Under 20 and 1 missed in) and Ted (1 under 20 and 1 missed in) all had 2 in fines...Jeff had 1 fine for a missed out (in a very sloppy game) and Matt H had 1 fine for an under 20....a big improvement over last week...but still 7 under 20's and 3 C-rules...still giving away a lot of free points...
this week we hit our goal of a 50 team average...we had a 51.70 team average...but the following people didn't help in the cause...Ed led the mess with a very low 33.15 average...Andy had a 39.89 average to round out the under 40 club....
as team we shot 64.18% of our shots under a 40...that is actually very good....but if we look deeper under the covers once again we see that these culprits had more than 30% of their shots under a 40...Ed had 61.11% of his shots under a 40...Andy had 46.15% of his shots under a 40...Ted had 41.67% of his shots under a 40...and Jr shot 40.00% of his shots under a 40...and the following shooters had at least 1 game average under a 40...the following are their low game average of the night...Andy (22.00), Ed (30.75), Jr (32.00), Matt H (33.67), Johnny (34.00) and Ted (37.00)...
Ed shot a 5, Andy shot a 9 and Matt H shot a 9...can't be having all these single digit shots...remember....hit the fatties...
we did much better at the double ins this week...we only had 6 missed ins...Jr had 3 missed ins...Ed had 2 missed ins and Ted had 1 missed in...John, Andy and Matt H didn't even get a shot at the ins...and Jeff was a perfect 4-4 at the ins...
we did have 14 total missed outs...and half of them came in that 1 sloppy game....Johnny had 5 missed outs...Ed, Andy and Jeff had 3 missed outs each...Ted was a perfect 2-2 at the outs...Jr and Matt H were also a perfect 1-1 at the outs....much better except that one game...
The following shooters shot less than a 2.0 average in cricket...Ed was the only shooter with less than a 2.0 average in cricket...he didn't miss by that much with a 1.71...
Ed had 2 0-mark cricket rounds...Matt H had 1 0-mark cricket round each...
Ed was the only shooter who had less than a 50.00% win rate...Ed's win rate was only 40.00%...
THE HIGH LIGHTS
we hit our goal of a 50 team average...Jeff had the high average of the night with a 76.21...Jr had a 53.47 average and Johnny had a 53.04 average to round out the over 50 club....Matt H (49.58) and Ted (45.71) round out the over 45 club...
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game...and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff (86.96% or 3 shots), Johnny (75.00% or 5 shots) and Matt H (72.73% or 3 shots) were the shooters to shoot over 70% of their shots over a 40...if new guy can do it then anyone can do it...I guess this shows 1 simple point...practice works...the following shooters averaged over a 40 each game....the following is their low game average...Jeff (52.67)...
this week we had 9 team tons...Jeff led the way with 4 tons...Johnny and Jr had 2 tons each...Matt H had 1 ton...Ed, Andy and Ted weren't "in the mood" to chuck any triple digit shots...
Jeff had the high score of the night with the first TON 80 (180)of the year....Jeff also shot a 140...Johnny shot a 133...Matt H shot a 132...Jr shot a 125...that's a lot of nice high scores....
Jeff (4 @ 100.00%) led the way with 4 double ins...Ted had 2 double ins...Ed and Jr had 1 double in each...Johnny, Andy and Matt H didn't even have a shot at an in...great job at the ins this week...
Johnny and Ted led the way with 2 double outs each...Jr, Andy< Jeff and Matt H had 1 out each...Ed was 0-3 at the outs...much better job this week spreading around the out shots...
Jeff (2.80) had the high cricket average of the night...Andy (2.60), Johnny (2.50), Matt H (2.43) and Jr (2.17) round out the over 2.0 club...very good job this week at hitting good cricket averages...we have 5 out of 6 shooters over a 2.0 cricket average and we wind up winning all 3 cricket matches...
Matt H (4 @ 57.14%) led the way with 4 >=3-mark rounds...Andy had 3 >=3-mark rounds...Ed, Jr and Jeff had 2 >=3-mark rounds each...Johnny had 1 >= 3-mark rounds...
Matt was 5-0 last night with a 100% win rate...very nice job...Jeff and Johnny both had a 85.71% win rate...Andy had a 80.00% win rate...Jr had a 57.14% win rate...and Ted had a 50.00% win rate...

CONCLUSION
week 3 was much better in most areas...it's amazing that when you have only single digit missed ins, a team average over 50 and 5 out of 6 shooters over a 2.0 cricket average that you can win big....like i said before this game is not that hard....just be consistent...also we saw that Matt H must have practiced as he was a completely different shooter than last week...now if Matt could invite Ed to his dart practice we might be getting somewhere...it was also nice to see most people contribute to the double outs...YTD we only have 1 person without an out (Ed)....overall a very nice week...it's nice to win double digit games...
