SUMMARY
Week 2 and what a week it was...it was our first home game of the season...let's hope they are all not like this or we will be in dead last place and have fort knox as a kitty...
THE LOW LIGHTS
and last week we thought 30 fines was a lot...holy dollarmania batman...i believe this had to be the highest amount of fines since we started keeping records...this week we hit a whopping 40 in fines...are you kidding me? great for the kitty...horrible for the wins...I believe there is one person that is secretly happy about this and that would be teddy..his 10 fine "Teddy" shot was shattered this week by 30%...We now have a new top record which we will call a "new guy"...that's right a "new guy" equates to a bakers dozen of fines...for those who don't know what that means that is 13 in fines...let's put that in a little bit of perspective...that's 13 in fines in one week...last 1st half I had 10 total fines for the half...and 13 total fines for the 2nd half...that's a lot of fines for one night...and the winner of this weeks "Skippy Award" is Matt H with 13 in fines...and he spread that around pretty well...Matt H had 3 under 20's, 5 C-rules, 4 missed ins and 1 missed out...and all that was in only 4 games...ouch...Ed (1 under 20, 1 C-rule, 5 missed ins), Jr (2 under 20's, 1 C-rule, 3 missed ins, 1 missed out) and Ted (3 under 20's, 3 missed ins and 1 missed out) each had 7 in fines...Johnny (2 under 20's and 1 C-rule) and Andy ( 1 under 20, 1 C-rule and 1 squat in cricket) both had 3 in fines...Jeff was fine free...thank god i didn't contribute to that mess...let's break this down a bit...in total we had 12 under 20's, 9 C-rules, 15 missed ins, 3 missed outs and 1 squat in cricket....now that's some bad shooting...how can we throw 9 darts off the board??? I mean seriously that's not very good...and you wonder why we keep losing...
this week we missed our goal of a 50 team average...we only had a 45.84 average...Matt H led the mess with a measly 28.73 average...Ted had a very low 37.92 and Andy rounds out the under 45 club with only a 42.10 average...guess you can't have good averages if you keep throwing darts off the board and shooting under 20's huh???
as team we shot 41.13% of our shots under a 40...if we look deeper under the covers once again we see that these culprits had more than 30% of their shots under a 40...Matt H had 73.33% of his shots under a 40...Ted had 56.52% of his shots under a 40...before I go any further let me point out that shooting more than half of your shots under a 40 will not get you on my good side...we gotta start focusing on consistency... Jr (44.00%), Andy (41.18%), Ed (38.89%) and Johnny (31.58%) all shot more than 30% of their shots under a 40...and the following shooters had at least 1 game average under a 40...the following are their low game average of the night...Matt H (21.40), Jr (26.00), Ted (26.00), Andy (29.00), Ed (32.00) and John (32.75)...that's a lot of names for this list...
Skippy shot a 1 and 3 bucks...oh wait Skippy don't shoot for us anymore...Oh yeah it was the new guy Matt H with the infamous 1 and 3 bucks shot this week...Matt also shot a 7...Johnny had an 8 and 2 bucks shot...Jr had a 6 and 2 bucks shot and a 7...let me restate what I wrote last week...not exactly very good...you know I'm not a big fan of single digit scores...but on the bright side i am a big fan of padding the kitty and this sure did that...
once again we were horrible at the double ins...in total we had 18 missed ins...way way way too many esp 2 weeks in a row...this week Ed led the mess with 6 missed ins...Jr and Matt H both had 4 missed ins...Ted had 3 missed ins...Jeff had 1 missed in...Johnny was 1 for 1 at the ins...and Andy didn't even get a shot at the ins...now that's the way I like it...don't give Andy a chance to get me dollars...whew....
and this week we didn't fare much better on the out shots...as a team we had 17 missed outs...Andy and Jeff had 4 missed outs each...Johnny had 3 missed outs...Jr, Ted and Matt H each had 2 missed outs...Ed didn't even get a shot at the outs...back to basics boys...practice that double ring....
The following shooters shot less than a 2.0 average in cricket...Andy had a pathetic 0.80 cricket average...Ed and Ted both had a 1.88 cricket average (but it was good enough for the win)...
Andy had 2 0-mark cricket rounds...Ed and Ted had 1 0-mark cricket round each...
Andy only had a 16.67% win rate...Matt H had a 25.00% win rate...Johnny had a 33.33% win rate...Jr and Jeff had a 42.86% win rate...
THE HIGH LIGHTS
we missed our goal of a 50 team average...but the following people tried to help the cause...Jeff had the high average of the night with a 61.92...Johnny had a 50.36 average to round out the over 50 club...Ed (47.40) and Jr (45.80) round out the over 45 club...
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game...and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff (87.50% or 3 shots)was the only shooter to shoot over 70% of his shots over a 40...the following shooters averaged over a 40 each game....the following is their low game average...Jeff (44.25)...
this week we had 8 team tons...Jeff led the way with 4 tons...Jr had 2 tons...Ed and Johnny had 2 tons each...Andy, Ted and Matt H weren't "in the mood" to chuck any triple digit shots...I guess they were too busy chucking darts off the board...
Jr had the high score of the night with a 125 (twice in one game)...Jeff was right behind him with a 112...Johnny had a 106 (and it was an in shot)...
Jeff (3 @ 75.00%) led the way with 3 double ins...Ed (3 @ 33.33%) also had 3 double ins...Johnny and Ted each had 1 double in...Jr and Matt H were each 0-4 at the ins...Andy didn't even have a shot at an in...and I'll restate the obvious...when Andy doesn't get a shot at an in that helps Jeff from owing fines...woohoo...
Jr and Jeff led the way with 2 double outs each...Andy was 0-4 at the outs...Johnny was 0-3 at the outs...Ted and Matt H were both 0-2 at the outs...Ed didn't even get a shot at an out...let's put things in perspective...YTD as a team we have 8 outs...Jeff and Jr combined have 7 of them...we need everyone to start chipping in by getting some outs...
Jeff (2.86) had the high cricket average of the night...Jr (2.20) and Johnny (2.00) round out the over 2.0 club...

CONCLUSION
week 2 we start right where we left off last week...not being able to hit the double ring...that won't help win games...like Jr kept saying..."best night ever"...well if you like fines than that is exactly what we had...we thought last weeks 30 in fines was a lot...well we topped that all right...this week we had 40 in fines...so a little quick math shows that after 2 weeks we have 70 in fines already...if we extrapolate that out for the rest of the half we are on pace for 350 fines...guess we'll be drinking some Dom Perignon while we watch the playoffs from the sidelines...remember guys this game is not that difficult...focus on the fatties...or better yet focus on keeping the darts on the board...the best part about it is I can't imagine that we can get any worse...so it's all uphill from here...next week we play Columbia Social Club away...don't be afraid to pick up a dart between now and then...or do what I do and sleep with them under your pillow...haha....
