Darts 2012/2013 - 2nd Half - Semi-Finals - Hemmingways

SUMMARY

So we had a week off for a first round bye....so we go right into the semi-finals for the playoffs...we play Hemmingways at home...we are the only team shooting at the bar last night...it was a back and forth match right from the start...we have a huge come from behind win in the first game...then we have a let down in the 2nd game...we saw a 180 tonight...we saw Johnny looking like a man who refuses to lose by banging out 5 tons and over a 65 average and 2 for 2 at the ins...Andy also stepped up huge with with over a 60 average, 2 double outs ...Jr hit 2 bulls to win the night...the "B" team struggled a bit and didn't hit my goal of 3 '01 wins...they only won 2...let's focus a little more next week because every game counts...

even though we don't collect fines in the playoffs...we still record them...and having single digit fines will certainly help with the wins...2 C-rules and 4 under 20's should not be happening in the playoffs....the big thing was we didn't owe any fines for missed ins...so that means we got in the first round of shooters every game...that's huge...

great job at the bulls this week...we had at least one mark at the bulls every time we shot at them...that's very helpful in trying to win games...Johnny was the only person with a squat shot tonight...

Congrats to John, Jr, Jeff and Ted for having positive rankings for the 2nd half...Ed, Andy and Skippy some improvements are needed...BUT...on the bright side...Ed went from -19 in the first half to -9 in the second half...Andy went from -20 in the first half to -9 in the second half...Skippy went from -68 in the first half to -30 in the second half (but i'm thinking that was only because he didn't show up many weeks in the 2nd half)...Jr went from a -27 in the first half to +12 in the second half ...great turn around Jr....Ted went from +20 in the first half to +38 in the second half...so the good news is that there was at least some improvement....on the other hand John went from +113 in the first half to +61 in the second half...and Jeff went from +194 in the first half to +184 in the second half...so even thought we didn't improve we still crushed the rest of you idiots...haha...

CONCLUSION

it was a nail biter...I certainly don't think we shot our best...but at least we always seem to find a way to pull it out in the end...Johnny and Andy both stepped up huge this week...let's continue that into next week...the rest of you need to find a groove and start winning some games...let's not try for last minute heroics next week...let's come out winning and continue winning...from what I'm hearing it looks like we are playing the Red Rooster next week at home for all the marbles...let's have fun and have everyone contribute...
