Darts 2008 - 1st Half - Week 7 - Drew's (home)

SUMMARY

well from 3 straight weeks of double digit wins to a losing week...we lost to Drew's 7-8....we just never got started...we had some good individual accomplishments but as a team we played like crap except for cricket....Andy continues to impress by banging out a 171...that is f'n AWESOME Andy....great job....Jr and Jeff both had a shot at a 180 this week by banging their first 2 shots at the trip 20 but Jr just missed into the trip 5 and Jeff hit a single 5....we continue with good team averages with a 50.78 average...we banged out 13 tons...only had 10 team missed ins....we also had an impressive 2.38 team cricket average....but unfortunately they had one guy that was on fire....oh well....keep shooting well and the wins will come back....

THE LOW LIGHTS

"dolla bills" improved by 3 bucks this week with a total of 16 in fines this week....surprise surprise...Ex Capitano Edwardo continues to be the leader of the pack for the prestigious "Skippy Award"....that's his 4th week in a row....ever hear of practice??? and this week he spread them out with 2 under 20's, 1 C-rule, 1 missed in and 1 squat shot at cricket....Johnny with 4 in fines gave Ed a run for his money...Andy had 3 in fines this week....Ted had 2 in fines this week....and Jr and Jeff only owed 1 in fines this week....

Out of nowhere we see Johnny at the bottom of the crap pile this week with the lowest average of 35.03....holy crap that sucks....no more wifey at the bar if you can't concentrate....

once again the "under the covers" are quite frightening....if we look under the covers once again we see that EVERYONE (except Andy and Jeff) had at least 1 game average under a 40....and this week have Ed (24.33) and Johnny (28.50) with the crappies of crap under 30 average...ughghgh....Ted (30.67) and Jr (36.00) rounded out the shooters with low games under a 40...We gotta start focusing on averaging over a 40 each game at a minimum...and we can't be throwing games in the 20's...we also shot a pretty bad 37.40% of our shots under a 40....Johnny led the way with 63.64% of his shots under a 40....are you kidding me??? that's not very good Johnny...Andy had 42.86% of his shots under a 40....Ed shot 40.91% of his shots under a 40....Ted rounds out the "under the covers" with a 36.36% of his shots under a 40.....guys let's focus on shooting to get those percentages into the 20's or lower...

We had 3 shooters with scores in the single digits once again...Ed shot a 7, Johnny and Jr both shot a 9....single digits suck...pick up the pace....guys when all else fails let's aim for the big fat part....let's try and make sure each round we shoot is at least over a 40 (at a minimum)...

we did much better at the in shots this week...we only had 10 missed ins...Ed and Jr led the way with 3 missed ins each...Jeff had 2 missed ins....Johnny and Ted had 2 missed ins...and Andy was a perfect one for one....much better job....we need to hit those in shots to give us chances of winning consistently....

we did much better at the outs too....maybe because we didn't get to the out shots much....we only had 14 missed outs this week....Jeff and Andy led the way with 3 missed outs each...Everyone else had 2 missed outs....we still have to hit the outs especially when the games are close...

the only shooter under the 2.0 mendoza line average was Andy with a 1.63....other than that it was a good week at cricket...

we had 3 squat shots in cricket....Jr, Johnny and Andy each had one squat shot...

Ed, Jr and Ted finished with a measly 28.57% win rate...

THE HIGH LIGHTS

we had a team average of 50.78....Jeff had an impressive week with a 69.79 average....Andy had a 56.41 average....Jr had a 50.17 average...Ted (47.50) and Ed (45.81) round out the over 45 club...

let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game.......and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff led the over the covers this week in a huge way....my lowest game was a 60.00 which was higher than everyone else's average this week...Andy for the 3rd week in a row is on the "over the covers" list with a low game of 41.75...good job Andy...Jeff led the way with a very impressive 86.36% of his shots over a 40...that means only 3 of my shots were under a 40....Jr shot 72.73% of his shots over a 40.....that equates to only 6 shots under a 40....lets welcome Jr to the "over the covers" club....that's some great consistent shooting guys....i love consistency and this stat helps show it....hopefully we'll keep seeing some new names on this list in the weeks to come...

this week we banged out 13 tons...you know I love those tons...and I led the way with a ton of tons....haha....Jeff had 6 tons this week....Jr, Andy and Ted each had 2 tons....and Ed had 1 ton....for the second week in a row Johnny didn't have a ton...Andy had the high score of the night with his impressive 171 (good enough for a patch)....Jr (135) and Jeff (125) had some of the other big tons...great job....

this week we shot 44.44% at the in shots...that's a pretty good percentage....but our first guys have to do a better and more consistent job of getting in....Ed, Jeff and Ted each had 2 ins....Johnny and Andy each had 1 in....and Jr shot a pathetic 0 for 3 at the ins....

not a great job at the outs this week....Johnny, Jr, Andy and Jeff had 1 out each....we have to do better.....

for the second week in a row we shot a very impressive team cricket average....this week we shot a great 2.38 team cricket average....Jeff led the way with his impressive 3.83 cricket average....Jr (2.44), Ted (2.20), Ed (2.00) and Johnny (2.00) round out the over 2.0 cricket average club...almost everyone had over a 2.0 average this week...only the little loud guy Curran fell short....good shooting guys....

Jeff led the way with an impressive 5 >=3-mark rounds...my scores were 5, 5, 5, 3, 1, 4....not a bad round of cricket....Johnny and Jr each had 3 >=3-mark rounds....Ted had 2 >= 3-mark rounds....Ed and Andy each had 1....everyone knows I love those high mark rounds so I'm glad everyone had at least 1...

Jeff, Johnny and Andy had 57.14% win rate....not many people on the over 50% win rate when we lose the week....

CONCLUSION

the only thing I hate worse than not winning double digits is losing a week....some nice individual stats this week but it's all about the wins and losses....we gotta do better and win consistently....let's come back and get on the winning ways next week....we play Polonia club away next week....let's all come ready to play...
