SUMMARY
second week in a row with a losing week...we went 7-8 against our new Achilles heel the Polonia Club....missed outs were the difference of the night....we had a horrid 21 missed outs...other than the missed outs (and the losses) we shot some very impressive dart scores last night...a team average of 56.60 and a team cricket average of 2.15.....we also had our "over the covers" at our best rate so far at 71.68%....that's some good shooting...now only if we could hit some damn outs....once again all I can say is oh well....keep shooting well and the wins will come back....
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were flying high again....we hit our high of the year at 37 in fines....that was padded by the first ever 501 shut out against....are you kidding me....9 shots at the in and nobody could find the double ring....Ed, Jr and Ted were the culprits in that mess of a game but the kitty loves their combined 24 in fines for 1 game...all I can say is hahahahahahahahaha....and if Andy was there he would say you guys sucky sucky....Ed "I got dumped by text message again" Roccia once again continues to be the leader of the pack for the prestigious "Skippy Award"....that's his 5th week in a row....ever hear of practice or focus??? remember one thing that the late great Mickey Goldstein said "Women weaken legs"...either way he added another 12 to the kitty this week....8 for missed ins....1 for under 20....1 for C-rule...and 2 for squats in cricket....at least he continues to spread them around...Ted was on his heels with 11 total in fines...8 for missed ins and 3 C-rules....are you kidding me...for as good as you have been shooting this half, imagine if you learned how to keep the damn darts on the board....Jr was right behind them with 10 in fines....8 for missed ins and 2 for under 20's....Jeff and Johnny had 2 in fines each....one for a missed out and one for under 20....
holy crap...nobody shot under a 45 average....that's good stuff...
"under the covers" are much improved this week...if we look under the covers once again we see the following culprits had at least 1 game average under a 40....Johnny (38.00), Jr (32.20) and Bill (30.50).......we also had a very improved 28.32% of our shots under a 40....Bill led the way with 47.06, and Jr shot 42.11% of his shots under a 40....
We had 2 shooters with scores in the single digits...Jeff and Jr both shot a 7....single digits suck...pick up the pace....guys when all else fails let's aim for the big fat part....let's try and make sure each round we shoot is at least over a 40 (at a minimum)...
we had 13 missed ins...but 9 of them were in one game alone....oh and did I mention those 9 missed ins were during a SHUTOUT??? we did much better at the in shots this week...we only had 10 missed ins...Ed and Jr led the way with 4 missed ins each...Ted had 3 missed ins....and Jeff and Johnny had 1 missed in each....Bill was a perfect 1 for 1....besides the one game we did a good job at getting in the games last night...we only had 2 other games where we didn't get in by the first guy....good job but we still need to hit those in shots to give us chances of winning consistently....
missed outs were way too high last night at 21 missed outs....not very good....we could have easily won 3 more games if we hit the outs....Johnny led the way with 5 missed outs....Ed, Jeff and Bill had 4 missed outs each....Jr and Ted had 2 missed outs each....we have to hit the outs especially when the games are close and the competition is fierce....you know those guys don't like losing to us....we need to concentrate and focus on that double ring...
the two shooters under the 2.0 mendoza line cricket average were Ed at a horrific 1.25 (guess those two squat shots didn't help your average) and Bill at 1.43.....other than that it was a good week at cricket...
we had 5 total squat shots in cricket....Ed and Bill led the way with 2 each....and Jr had one squat at the cork....
Ed and Ted finished with a measly 28.57% win rate...and Jr had a 42.86% win rate....
THE HIGH LIGHTS
we had a very impressive team average of 56.60....Jeff led the way with a 66.41 average...Johnny was very close behind with a 65.40 average....which was helped out by his two big 133's....Ed actually had a very nice 55.57 average....and Bill rounds out the over 50 club with a 51.50 average....Ted had a 49.05 and Jr had a 48.97 average to round out the over 45 club....
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game.......and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Ed led the way with a lowest game score of 47.83.....Jeff had a low game of 46.50....and Ted had a lowest game of 41.67....Jeff shot an unprecedented 95.25% of his shots over 40....that translates to 1 shot under a 40 and it was that piss ant 7 that I shot....Johnny must not liked to have been blogged negatively last week and stepped it up in a big way by having 78.95% of his shots over a 40....which equates to only 4 shots under a 40....Ted shot 70.59% of his shots over a 40...that's only 5 shots under a 40....and Ed rounds out the "over the covers" club with 70% of his shots over a 40....that's only 6 shots under a 40....good job "over the covers" people...esp those that are on the list for the first time.....that's some great consistent shooting guys....i love consistency and this stat helps show it....I'm glad we keep seeing some new names on this list....
this week we banged out 11 tons...Johnny banged out 4 tons....and two of them were 133's....that's great shooting Johnny....Jeff had 3 tons this week....my first shot of the night was a 140....in another game I had a 121 then a 120 out....Jr had 2 tons....Ed and Ted had 1 ton each...love those tons...keep hitting them...make poppa proud....
this week we only shot 35% at the in shots...that's slipping from last week....Jeff led the way with 3 ins @ 75%....Ed had 2...Ted and Bill had 1 in each....Jr shot a pathetic 0 for 4 at the ins....if anyone is keeping score at home that's 0 for 7 at the ins for Jr the last 2 weeks....pick up the pace Jr....
not a great job at the outs this week for the second week in a row....we did spread them around though when we did hit them...Jeff led the way with 2 double outs...the first one was a 73 out and then I almost hit a 103 out but left 16 instead....then I banged out a 120 out for my highest out ever I think....Ed had 1 out which was a nice 59....Ted and Bill also had 1 out...Ted made his count by hitting a double 1, single 1, double 1 to take out the 5....we have to do better and have our regulars get back into the swing of things.....
for the third week in a row we shot a very impressive team cricket average....this week we shot a very good 2.15 team cricket average....Jeff led the way with a 2.83 average....Johnny shot a great 2.80 to help us come from a big deficit in cricket for the win....Jr stayed hot at cricket by banging a 2.71 average....Ted rounds out the over 2.0 cricket average club...good shooting guys....
Jeff, John and Jr led the way with 3 >=3-mark rounds each...Ed, Ted and Bill each had 1 >= 3-mark round....Jeff had a 6-mark round....Jr had a 5-mark round and Johnny had a 4-mark round...
Jeff, Johnny and Bill had 57.14% win rate....not many people on the over 50% win rate when we lose the week again....

CONCLUSION
the only thing I hate worse than not winning double digits or losing a week is losing for the second week in a row....some very nice individual stats again this week but it's all about the wins and losses....we gotta do better and win consistently....let's come back and get on the winning ways next week....we play Grey's Lodge in two weeks.....take a week off and practice and come ready to play...no more sucky sucky....
