SUMMARY
two winning weeks in a row...we beat CJ Mulligans last night 8-7...and after looking at the standings from last week I see we're in 4th place ahead of both Coach's and Dell's...we started the night out slow but then turned it on during 501...we had 2 cricket games that had scoring into the 500's...so a crazy night it was...plus we had some drama with the one guy from their team acting like he's playing in the world series of darts and giving grief to Jr for talking while score keeping...only to have birthday boy Ed get all up in arms...we shot under a team average of 50 which isn't a good start...but we did have double digit tons...we only had 4 missed ins and 11 missed outs...so we were doing better at the double ring last night...we had a team cricket average of 2.35...and 24 >= 3-mark rounds...some nice cricket shooting this week in the battle of the back to back 500 point games...and through it all we only had 12 in fines...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were under control this week with only 12 total team fines...Johnny led the way and took the prestigious "Skippy Award" this week with 4 in fines...3 under 20's and a C-rule...Jr had 3 in fines with 2 under 20's and 1 squat in cricket...Andy had 2 under 20's...Ted had 1 C-rule and 1 squat at cricket...Ed had 1 under 20...and Jeff was fine free....good job on the fines this week...
Ed for the third week in a row posts the low average of the night...at least this week he sneaks in over a 40 average with a 40.22...Andy had a 41.85 average and Jr rounds out the under 45 club with a 44.07...all that talk Jr about how you should have got more praise in the blog last week for having the highest average...problem is this writer doesn't have time to journalize one hit wonders...try a little more consistency and the blog will write itself for you...
as a team we had 34.56% of our shots under a 40...an improvement from last week...and if we look under the covers once again we see these culprits had at least 1 game average under a 40....Ed (24.33), Andy (28.00), Johnny (36.40) and Jr (36.33)...2 shooters with game averages in the 20's..not very good...Andy had 55.56% of his shots under a 40...Ed had exactly 50.00% of his shots under a 40....not very consistent shooting boys...
This week we had 2 shooters with a score in the single digits...Ed had a 7 and Jr had a 9....
As a team we had only 4 missed ins...it's amazing that if we have under double digit missed ins we seem to win in 501....Ed, Johnny, Jr and Jeff each had 1 missed in...great job Andy and Ted for bailing your respective team out of having to pay fines...
we had 11 missed outs this week...a vast improvement over the 30 missed outs from last week...Everyone had 2 missed outs except Jeff who had 1...very good job at keeping the missed outs to a minimum...but playing devil's advocate...the other team wasn't missing many outs so if we missed they hit it...we didn't have many games where both teams were missing...
Andy had the low cricket average of the night at 1.67...Jr shot a 1.86...and for the second week in a row these two characters are the only ones on the team with an under 2.0 average but still somehow pull out the win...guess the team you played pretty much sucked again...haha...
Jr and Ted each had 1 0-mark round...
Jeff and Johnny had 42.86% win rate...not good being on the losing side of the wins...
THE HIGH LIGHTS
this week we posted a team average of 49.38...just under the 50 mark...Jeff led the way with a very nice 65.50 average...Ted remains consistent and posts a 54.25 and Johnny rounds out the over 50 club with a 50.38 average...
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game...and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff (47.67) and Ted (43.00) were the two shooters not to have any games under a 40.00 average...Jeff led the way with 83.33% of his shots over a 40...that translates to 4 shots under a 40...Ted had 73.91% of his shots over a 40...that translates to 6 shots under a 40...Johnny (68.18% and 7 shots) and Jr (68.00% and 8 shots) by the goodness of my heart make the list even though they are under the 70% mark...
this week we had 10 team tons...Jeff led the way with 4...Ted had 3...Ed, Johnny and Andy each had 1...
Jeff had the high score last night with an impressive 152 as a double in shot...Jeff also hit a 140...Andy hit a 135 and Ed hit a 121....very nice high scores guys...
Jeff (3 @ 75.00%) and Ed (3 @ 75.00%) led the way with double ins...Andy and Ted each were a perfect 1 for 1...way to pick up the slack and save your teams from fines...
Ted led the way with an impressive 3 double outs...Johnny, Andy and Jeff each had 1 double out...Jeff's double out gets us to our first person with double digit outs (10)...Ted is close behind with 9....
we had a very impressive 2.35 team cricket average...Jeff led the way with a 2.89...Johnny had a 2.78...Ed had a 2.70...and Ted rounds out the over 2.0 club with a 2.20....very nice averages....
Jeff and Ed led the way with 6 >=3-mark rounds...that translated into 66.67% for Jeff and 60.00% for Ed...Johnny was very close behind with 5 @ 55.56%....Ted had 4 >=3-mark rounds...Jr had 2 and Andy had 1 >=3-mark round...that's a lot of high rounds...but we also probably played the most rounds...and Ed/Ted and Jeff/Johnny both had games with 500 points scored...
Ed, Jr, Andy and Ted finish the night with a 57.14% win rate...

Cricket-1 -- Ed has a 6 mark round and 6 >= 3-mark rounds...Ted has 3 >=3-mark rounds and a squat shot...they hit a combined 12 20's and 14 19's....the scoring was up in the 500's...they pull out the win...nice game...
Cricket-2 -- Jeff has 6>=3-mark rounds...Johnny has 5>=3-mark rounds...we had 51 total marks and 35 were at the 17....another game with scoring in the 500's...their guy started with a 7-mark round to open the game and we played catch-up the whole time...Johnny said if I would have hit the 2 18's we might have won...who knows...either way it was a very good game and we never gave up...but a loss nonetheless...
Cricket-3 -- Jr has 2 >=3-mark rounds...Andy has a 4 mark round...Jr finishes the game with 2 corks...we finish the night at 8-7....
Andy notes that after 2 games of losses..."At least we don't have any missed outs"...
Andy as he knocked the table up stated "that wasn't even my hand"...
Jr said something lame about Bea Arthur but Andy almost popped a blood vessel...
Andy states Jr hasn't been funnier since 1963.....

CONCLUSION
a pretty decent night over all...gotta get that team average over a 50 though...nice consistency on the double ring...double digit tons always makes me happy...a very nice 2.35 team cricket average...and 2 crazy 500 point cricket games....plus throw in a little birthday boy drama...and a cupcake and candle presentation by our bartenders....mix in a few laughs...and you have the makings of a good night...next week we have Dell's away...they moved into last place last week after suffering a 4-11 loss to Forrest Hills...come ready to play...
