SUMMARY
well it's our first winning week in 4 weeks...and it took a sweep in cricket to make it happen....we went 8-7 against Coach's in what was coined "The Battle for Last Place and the right to play at Fat Pete's"...talk about inconsistent...well last night had a little of everything...but the biggest annoyance of them all was 30 missed outs...and we had 14 of them in one game...3 players with more than 50% of their shots under a 40...a 2nd half high 29 in fines......but there were some promising things that happened last night...we had over a 50 team average...we had 3 shooters with more that 70% of their shots over a 40...4 shooters had a double out...we had a team cricket average over a 2.0...and most importantly we won the night 8-7 despite as bad as we were at times...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were flying high this week... we had 29 team fines...that's the highest of the second half and 2nd highest overall for the year...it only fell short of the time when Ed, Jr and Ted got shut out and owed an extra 5 each...Andy talked all night about how bad I was shooting but low and behold he is the winner of the prestigious "Skippy Award" this week with 6 in fines...2 C-rules, 1 missed in, 2 missed outs and 1 squat at cricket summed up his night...Bill (4 under 20's and 1 missed in), Jr (2 under 20's, 2 missed ins and 1 squat at cricket) were right on Andy's tail with 5 fines each...Ed (2 under 20's, 2 missed ins) and Johnny (1 C-rule, 1 missed in, 2 missed outs) each had 4 in fines...Jeff had 2 missed outs and 1 missed ins for a total of 3 in fines...Ted had 1 under 20 and 1 missed in for a total of 2 in fines...padding the kitty....
Ed for the second week in a row showed how pathetic his scoring prowess is by having his 2nd week in a row with an average in the 30's...and I'm not talking about an average of 1 games...I'm talking the whole night...this week he shot a measly 36.72....I mean holy crap that's bad...Bill rounded out the under 45 club with a 41.24 average...
as a team we had 36.96% of our shots under a 40...an improvement from last week..and if we look under the covers once again we see these culprits had at least 1 game average under a 40....Ed (25.00), Bill (25.25), Andy (28.67), Ted (31.67) and Jeff (36.75)....3 shooters again with game averages in the 20's..ughghghgh....Bill had 58.82% of his shots under a 40...Andy and Ed each had 52.94% of their shots under a 40...Ted had 35.00% of his shots under a 40...3 shooters with more than half of their shots under a 40...are you f'n kidding me...that is not what I consider good shooting...esp at division 5...gotta do better...
This week we had 4 shooters with a score in the single digits...Ed shot a 7 and a 9...Jr had a 5 and a 7...Bill had a 9...and Ted had a 3....that's a lot of single digit scores...hit the fatties....
As a team we had 12 missed ins...Ed led the way with 3 missed ins...John, Jr and Bill each had 2 missed ins...Andy Jeff and Ted each had 1 missed in...we have to be more consistent on hitting those ins...
we had a nauseating 30 missed outs this week...that's about as bad as we can get...14 of them were in the "A-teams" first game...Johnny led the night with 8 missed outs...Andy and Jeff each had 6 missed outs...Jr and Ted each had 3 missed outs...and Ed and Bill each had 2 missed outs...horrendous effort by one and all...
Andy had the low cricket average of the night at 1.25...Jr shot a 1.78...but somehow those two characters still pulled out the win...guess the team you played pretty much sucked...haha...
Johnny, Jr and Andy and Jeff each had 1 0-mark round...
Bill had a 25.00% win rate...Jeff had 33.33% win rate...Johnny had 42.86% win rate...not good being on the losing side of the wins...
THE HIGH LIGHTS
this week we posted a team average of 50.29...once again just barely getting over the 50 mark....Jr led the way with a very impressive 60.82 average...imagine how much better that would have been without the 2 under 9's....Johnny (54.61), Ted (53.43) and Jeff (53.16) round out the over 50 club....and Andy's 47.25 rounds out the over 45 club...good shooting guys...
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game.......and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Johnny (42.67) and Jr (40.83) were the two shooters not to have any games under a 40.00 average...Jeff led the way with 78.95% of his shots over a 40...that translates to 4 shots under a 40...Johnny had 77.27% of his shots over a 40...that translates to 5 shots under a 40...and Jr had 73.08% of his shots over a 40...that translates to 7 shots under a 40...
this week we had 8 team tons...Ted and Jr had 2 each...Ed, Johnny, Andy and Jeff each had 1...
Johnny had the high score last night with a 133...Andy had a 121 and Jr had a 120...
Jeff (3 @ 75.00%) and Ed (3 @ 50.00%) led the way with double ins...Jr and Andy each had 1 double in...
Ed led the way with 2 double outs this week...Johnny, Jr and Andy had 1 double out...way to spread the outs around...unfortunately I sucked and didn't have an out for the first time all 2nd half...7 weeks into the season and still nobody has double digit outs...
we had a very nice 2.14 team cricket average...Johnny led the way with a very nice 2.75 cricket average...Ted (2.50), Jeff (2.40) and Ed (2.20) round out the over 2.0 club...
Jeff and Johnny led the way with 3 >=3-mark rounds...that translated into 75.00% for John and 60.00% for Jeff...Ed, Jr and Ted each had 2 >=3-mark rounds...Andy had 1 >=3-mark round...
Ed and Andy finish the night with a 66.67% win rate...Jr had a 57.14% win rate and Ted had a 50.00% win rate...

CONCLUSION
another up and down kind of night...way too many missed outs...we could have easily won 3 more games if we could hit the outs...next week we play CJ Mulligans at home...
