SUMMARY
three winning weeks in a row...we beat Dells last night 8-7...and we had the win while struggling at the double ring again...23 missed ins resulted in 5 501 losses...not very good...but we only had 8 missed outs...but that was mainly because there were alot of games we didn't even get to an out shot because we had so many missed ins and put ourselves in a bad spot...we had a solid 52.41 team average....but fell shy of the 2.0 goal for a team average in cricket with only a 1.93 average...Ted (3) and Johnny (2) had multiple outs last night...Ed and Ted might have shot the worst cricket game I've ever seen...but once again we find a way to win the night...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were flying once again...we had 27 total team fines...15 of them were related to missed ins...Ed led the way and took the prestigious "Skippy Award" this week with 8 in fines...3 under 20's, 1 C-rule, 2 missed ins and 2 squats at cricket...Andy had 5 in fines with 1 under 20, 3 missed ins and 1 squat in cricket......Jr (1 under 20, 2 missed ins, and 1 squat at cricket) and Ted (1 C-rule, 2 missed ins and 1 squat at cricket) each had 4 in fines...Jeff and Johnny each had 3 in fines for missed ins...in case you didn't notice we had 5 team fines for squats at cricket...that's unusually high....let's get that fixed before the playoffs...and we have to start hitting the double in more consistently...more on that later...
Ed for the fourth week in a row posts the low average of the night...once again this week he sneaks in over a 40 average with a 43.07...
as a team we had 31.36% of our shots under a 40...an improvement from last week...and if we look under the covers once again we see these culprits had at least 1 game average under a 40....Andy (19.00), Jr (30.50), Jeff (32.50), Ed (32.75), Ted (37.50) and Johnny (39.00)...for those of you playing at home that is EVERYONE on the team with a low game average under a 40...not very good...and Andy is under 20....that pretty much sucky suckys.....Ed had 52.17% of his shots under a 40...Ted had 36.36% of his shots under a 40....Johnny had 35.29% of his shots under a 40....
This week Ed was the only shooter with a score in the single digits...Ed had a 9 and 4...
We went from only 4 missed ins last week to a disgusting 23 missed ins this week...that's horrible...and yours truly led the way with 6 missed ins...absolutely no excuse for that...Johnny had 5 missed ins...Ed had 4 missed ins...Jr and Andy each had 3 missed ins....and Ted had 2 missed ins...very very bad job at the ins...
we had 8 missed outs this week...very good number on paper but what may not be evident is we lost alot of games by over 150 points because we were playing catch up most games because we had so many missed ins...Jr had 3 missed outs...Ed and Jeff each had 2 missed outs...and Ted had 1 missed out...
Ted had a horrendous 0.75 cricket average....Ed had a 1.00....obviously that game they shot was a loss...Jr had a 1.14 cricket average...and Johnny shot only a 1.67 average....
Ed and Ted each had 2 0-mark rounds...Jr and Andy each had 1 0-mark round...
Ed and Ted had 42.86% win rate...not good being on the losing side of the wins...
THE HIGH LIGHTS
this week we posted a team average of 52.41...Jeff led the way with a very nice 68.17 average...Andy (52.44) and Johnny (52.21) shot some good darts and round out the over 50 club....Ted (49.66) and Jr (48.89) round out the over 45 club...maybe one day before the season ends Ed will get over a 45 average and be on this side of the fence....
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game...and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....NOBODY had all their game averages over a 40.00 average...Jeff led the way with a remarkable 94.12% of his shots over a 40...that translates to only 1 shot under a 40...Andy was very consistent with81.25% of his shots over a 40...that translates to only 3 shots under a 40...Jr (69.57% and 7 shots) by the goodness of my heart make the list even though it is under the 70% mark...
this week we had 8 team tons...Jeff led the way with 5...Jr had 2 and Ted had 1....
Jeff had 2 140's and Jr had 1 140 for the high scores of the night...
Ed and Andy led the way with 2 double ins each...Everyone else had 1 double in....not very good when the first shooters aren't getting at least 3 double ins....and Jeff's 1 double in (even though it was a 112) is inexcusable and has to be better....I have to hit a minimum of 3 double ins on my first round...
Ted remains "Mr Double Out" by once again hitting an impressive 3 double outs...Johnny had 2 double outs....and Jeff had 1 double out...This puts Ted at 12 double outs for the 2nd half which is a solid 1 double out ahead of Jeff at 11...only 1 week left in the regular season and we have a great double out race to watch and see how it unfolds...great job Ted in the last 2 weeks with 6 double outs....
we had a very unimpressive 1.93 team cricket average...Jeff led the way with a very impressive 4.25 cricket average...Andy was the only other shooter over a 2.0 with a very solid 2.50 cricket average...
Jeff led the way with 4 >=3-mark rounds...that translated into 100.00%....Andy had 3 >= 3-mark rounds....that was 50% of his shots...great job Andy...Johnny had 1 >= 3-mark round....which was 33.33% of his shots....yup you read that right Johnny only had 3 rounds last night...b/c Jeff and Johnny put on a cricket clinic and finished their match in 7 rounds.....
John, Jr, Andy and Jeff finish the night with a 57.14% win rate...

801-1 -- Ed starts his first round with a solid 9...you kidding me....Ted hits a ton and the out....that ties him for the YTD out race...

501-5 -- Ed gets on...Jr hits an 85 and Ted hit a 60 in the first round...Ed starts a new trend with an 11 followed by the following 6 shots being a 33 or less...4 missed outs and we are now 4-5....
501-6 -- 4 missed ins...Johnny gets on...Jeff hits his 2nd 140....but another loss...
501-7 -- Ed gets on...Jr hits a ton...Ted hits a 106 double out shot...an impressive way to take the YTD out lead for the first time in the 2nd half (and possibly the first time ever)....great job Ted....can't wait till next week...I'll have to bring my A+ game to recapture that lead...
501-8 -- Jeff finally hits an in shot tonight...it is one of his infamous 112 ons....Johnny takes the game out....we're all knotted up at 6-6 going into cricket...
Cricket-1 -- this could have been the most embarrassing game I've ever watched....Ed and Ted both had 2 squat shots...and combined they had 7 total marks...ouch....that was painful to watch...it also didn't help that the one guy on the other team was hot and didn't mind letting everyone know he was...
Cricket-2 -- Jeff put on a clinic....he had 2 5-mark rounds, 1 4-mark round and 1 3-mark round...a perfect 100% at the >= 3-mark rounds stat...and the 3 mark round was to finish the game with 3 corks...and in case anyone was wondering Johnny's rounds were 1, 1, 3....hey I look at the glass half full...at least he closed out the 16's....
Cricket-3 -- Andy had a 4-mark round...Jr had 3 squat shots and Andy had 1 squat shot...but somehow these two keep finding ways to win...good job on the win and once again we win the night 8-7...
After Jr shoots a 16....he pretends he's Jeff and says "I ain't got no kids, but my sperm shot better than a 16....
Andy said sniff sniff....
Jr slid across the floor screaming ton...the does irish jig....
Jeff tells Andy that he (ie Andy) doesn't have the killer instinct or ability to hit cork...

CONCLUSION
a very streaky night....we had very good averages....but missed ins cost us a lot of games....we have to hit the double ins consistently....most teams at this level won't miss the out shots alot so we can't put ourselves in position to play catch up...congrats to Ted for his back to back 3 double out nights and now taking the lead in double outs in the 2nd half....27 in fines is great for the kitty but can't be good for our game...let's get all the fines paid up by next week so we can start taking money from the kitty.....let's fix the couple of issues we have and get more consistent and make a run at the playoffs....next week is our last regular season week....we play Fat Pete's at home....let's keep the winning ways going...
