Darts 2009 - 1st Half - Week 03 - CJ & Ecks (home)

SUMMARY

week 3 we played CJ & Ecks...they were in first place coming into this week...this week we had a much more consistent week...we had a nice team average of 51.27 (and that was done with only 3 tons tonight) and a 2.29 team cricket average...we won the night 9-6 after being down 1-5...it seemed just as the phillies pulled ahead is when we got our second wind and won the last 8 out of 9 games...

THE LOW LIGHTS

"dolla bills" were flying again this week...we had a total of 18 in fines...Ed for the second week in a row takes home the prestigious "Skippy Award"....Ed owed a total of 5 fines...2 for under 20's, 2 for missed ins, 1 for a C-rule...Andy and Ted were close behind with 4 in fines each...Andy owed for 2 under 20's, 1 missed in and 1 squat in cricket...Ted owed for 2 under 20's and 2 missed ins...Jr owed 3...1 for under 20 and 2 for missed ins...Johnny and Bill each owed 1 for missed ins....Jeff for the 3rd week in a row goes fine free...

Ted had the low average of the night with a 43.10...Jr was right behind him with a 43.40...thank goodness Jr can shoot cricket...

as a team we only had 33.33% of our shots under a 40...if we look under the covers once again we see that the following culprits had at least 1 game average under a 40...Ted (19.67), Bill (26.00), Jr (38.25), Andy (38.60) and Ed (39.25)....the following shooters had more than 30% of their shots under a 40...Jr (52.38%), Ted (44.44%), Bill (41.67%), John (35.29%)...That's right go look at Jr's % again...yup that means more than half his shots were under a 40...we might as well get Skippy back on the team...pick up the pace...pretend every '01 game is cricket...

This week Ed (4, 5) and Jr (9) had scores in the single digits...

We had 11 missed ins this week...Ed and Jr led the way with 3 missed ins each...Ted had 2 missed ins...Johnny, Andy and Bill had 1 missed in...and Jeff was a perfect 3 for 3...

we had 17 missed outs again this week...Andy led the way with 5 missed outs...Ed had 3 missed outs...John, Jr, Jeff and Ted all had 2 missed outs...Bill had 1 missed out...that's alot of missed outs...if we hit some of them we could have had double digit wins...

Ted had the lowest cricket average of the night with a 1.57...Andy didn't do that much better with only a 1.60...

Jeff and Andy each had 1 0-mark round in cricket...

Everyone had over a 50% win rate last night...good job...

THE HIGH LIGHTS

this week we got back on track and hit our goal of a team average of 50...we had a team average of 51.27...Jeff led the way with a very nice 61.69 average...Bill had an impressive 57.54 average helped largely by his 91.50 average in the one 501 game...John (53.32), Andy (51.25) and Ed (50.08) round out the over 50 club...

let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game...and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff (46.33) and John (41.67) were the only shooters with all his game averages over a 40...Jeff led the way with 90.00% of his shots over a 40...that translates to only 2 shots under a 40...Andy shot 77.78% of his shots over a 40...that translates into only 4 shots under a 40...I'm letting Ed sneak in this list with a very nice 69.57% of his shots over a 40...that translates into 7 shots under a 40...

this week we only had 3 team tons...Ed, John and Jeff had 1 ton each...we have to try and get double digit tons...helps the score go down a lot quicker...

Jeff had the high score of the night with 142...which just happened to be an in shot...

Jeff went a perfect 3 for 3 at double ins...very good turnaround from the lackluster performance i've had at the ins...Ed had 3 double ins...Ted and Bill each had 1 double in...

Jeff led the way with 2 double outs...Ed, Johnny, Ted and Bill each had 1 out...

Lights out Lidge in baseball and Lights out Jr in cricket...Jr lit the lamp early and often posting an impressive team high of 3.40....Johnny shot a solid 2.67....Ed (2.43) and Jeff (2.14) round out the over 2.0 club...

Johnny and Jr led the way with 3 >=3-mark rounds each...that translated into 50.00% and 60.00% respectively....Ed and Jeff both shot 2 @ 28.57%...Andy 1 @ 20.00% and Ted 1 @ 14.29%...

Jeff and Ted led the way with a 66.67% win rate...Ed and Andy each had a 57.14% win rate...and John, Jr and Bill round out the over 50% club by shooting a 50% win rate...

THE QUOTES & RECAP

501-2 -- Round of missed ins...Bill gets in with a 91, Johnny hits a 63, Andy hits a 57 and Bill hits a 92...not bad scores...if only you got in maybe you would have had a chance to win...that's 5 losses in a row...we're now at 1-5...

501-3 -- Ed gets in...and follows it up with an 80...Ted takes the double out for the win...

501-4 -- Jeff gets in with a 48...Jeff gets off with a 16...

501-5 -- Ed gets in with a 40...Jr follows that up with a 81....Bill hits a 95 the next round...then Bill takes the game out for the win...

501-6 -- Jeff gets in with a 32...Andy hits an 83...Jeff hits an 87 then the next round Jeff takes the game out...that's 4 wins in a row...we're now at 5-5...

501-7 -- 5 missed ins...Ted gets in with a 40...Ed hits a 60 then a 77...but it's a loss...

501-8 -- Jeff hits his 3rd straight in shot of the night...and made it count with a HUGE 142 in...He followed it up next round with a 81...John takes the double 10 out for the win...so after '01 we're at 6-6...

Cricket-1 -- Ed shoots 5, 2, 4, 1, 2, 2, 1....Ted shoots 1, 3, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1...good enough for the win...

Cricket-2 -- Jeff shoots 4, 2, 2, 1, 2, 0, 4....Johnny shoots 4, 4, 2, 3, 2, 1...good enough for the win...

Cricket-3 -- Jr shoots 7, 2, 4, 3, 1...Andy shoots 2, 0, 1, 4, 1....Jr has the high marks of the night with 7....good job we finish 9-6...

CONCLUSION

Well it looked like we were going to be in for a long night...the one guy on their team hit 3 tons then a 95 in a row...but he cooled off quick....team average over a 50 and cricket average over a 2.0 makes for a winning night...plus the Phils win game one of the NLCS...what else can you ask for...

Next week we play away at Forrest Hills...
