SUMMARY
week 8 we took a 20 mile journey to the hills of Roxborough/Manayunk to play CJ & Ecks...we think the bar was slanted since it was on a hill...not exactly everyone's best efforts went into the night...we lost 6-9...we finished the night with a 51.84 team average led by the impressive 81.22 average thrown up by yours truly...that consisted of 6 tons including 4-140's and 1-135...I had a chance at a 180 shot on a minimum of 3 occasions...unfortunately the first try went into the trip 5...the other tries landed into the single 20...oh well...better luck next time...but other than that we had a very weak showing...we had 11 shots under a 20 including 3 shots under a 9...we had 15 missed ins and 16 missed outs...that cost us a lot of games we should have won...we have to start doing better with the double ring...cricket wasn't much better this week...we only had a 1.85 team cricket average which resulted into only 1 cricket win again for 2 weeks in a row...we are normally much better in cricket...step it up...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were out of control this week...we had 28 in fines...that's a lot of bad shooting...in total we owed 11 for under 20, 12 for missed ins, 4 for squats at cricket and 1 C-rule...ughghgh...and Jr wasn't even there to help pile on the fines...Andy had 8 in fines and captured the prestigious "Skippy Award"....he had 4 under 20's, 2 missed ins and 2 squats at cricket...Bill owed 7 in fines...3 for under 20, 2 for missed ins and 2 for squat at cricket...Ed had 4 in fines...2 for under 20 and 2 for missed ins...Johnny had 4 in fines...1 for under 20, 1 c-rule and 2 for missed ins...Ted had 3 in fines...1 for under 20 and 2 for missed ins...Jeff had 2 in fines for missed ins...damn Andy couldn't save our dollars this week...PUNK!!!
Ted posted the lowest average of the night at 41.29...Andy only shot a 43.83 and Bill shot a 44.10...
as a team we had 35.38% of our shots under a 40...if we look under the covers once again we see that the following culprits had at least 1 game average under a 40...Bill (31.14), Ted (31.50), Andy (32.00), Johnny (32.40) and Ed (33.71)...the following shooters had more than 30% of their shots under a 40...Johnny (47.37%), Bill (42.31%), Ted (37.50%), Ed (34.62%) and Andy (31.25%)...
Bill (3), Ted (9) and Ed (9) had the scores in the single digits this week...
From 3 missed ins the past 2 weeks to 15 missed ins this week...horrible job at the double ring...Ed had 4 missed ins...Bill had 3 missed ins...everyone else had 2 missed ins...Johnny when was the last time you hit a double in??? was Reagan still president...20% for the year...don't have me put Andy 2nd....
We had 16 missed outs this week...Johnny and Andy led the air balls on the double outs with 5 missed outs each...Jeff and Bill each had 2 missed outs...Ed and Ted each had 1 missed out...missing these outs are killing our winning %...let's take our time and focus on what we are shooting at...
Andy for the second week in a row posts the lowest cricket average...this week our sprayer averaged only 1.38...Ted (1.75) and Johnny (1.80) had averages under a 2.0...
Andy had 3 0-mark rounds in cricket...Bill had 2 0-mark cricket rounds...that's a lot of misses...
Ed, Ted and Bill only had a 28.57% win rate...Andy only had a 42.86% win rate...
THE HIGH LIGHTS
this week we had a team average of 51.84...Jeff stepped up his game and banged out a very very impressive 81.22 average...Johnny had a solid 53.62 average...and Ed shot a 46.95 to round out the over 45 club...
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game...and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff was the only shooter to average over a 40 in every game...his lowest single game average last night was a 59.00...holy crap that's way higher than anyone else's average all night...damn...why can't I shoot that good every week...Jeff was the only shooter to have over 70% of his shots over a 40...this week Jeff had 84.21% of his shots over a 40...that translates to only 3 shots under a 40...we need more people on this list regularly...consistent shooting gets you here....focus Daniel San...
this week we had 8 team tons...Jeff led the way with 6 tons...Johnny and Andy each had 1 ton...Ed, Ted and Bill weren't "in the mood" to have any scores in the triple digits...
Jeff had the high score of the night with 140...actually that was 4-140's and 1-135...that drops the number down quickly in a big way...
Jeff (4 @ 66.67%) led the way with double ins this week...Ed (2 @ 33.33%), Ted (1 @ 33.33%) and Bill (1 @ 25.00%) had the other double ins...
Andy and Ted for the 2nd week in a row each had 2 double outs...Jeff had 1 double out....

801-1 -- Not much to write home about in our opening game...as a stretch I'll put that Ted had and 83 and Ed had an 81...doesn't take a genius to figure out that this game was a loss...but in their defense it was the shortest 801 game of the night...

501-2 -- Jeff gets in...Jeff hits a ton...Andy takes the double out for the win...

Cricket-2 -- Jeff shoots 3, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2...Johnny shoots 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 1...together we averaged exactly a 2.0...good enough for the win...
Cricket-3 -- A come from ahead loss riddled with squat shots...ughghgh....Bill starts with a squat...then 3 squat rounds in a row towards the end of the game....Bill shoots 0, 2, 4, 3, 4, 0, 2, 1...Andy shoots 4, 1, 4, 1, 0, 0, 1 , 0...that's a lot of goose egg rounds...and of course this loss brings us to 6-9 overall for the night...

CONCLUSION
Well we never like losing weeks...unfortunately this was one of them...we lost the night 6-9...but we had chances to win a lot more games but we had 15 missed ins, 16 missed outs, under a 2.0 in team cricket average and 28 in fines...that doesn't translate into too many wins...on the bright side Jeff threw what most likely is the highest average ever with a 81.22...That was helped by 4-140's, 1-135 and 1-100...Andy and Ted added 2 more double outs and Jeff added 1 double out...we had 3 shooters with over a 2.0 average (Jeff, Ed and Bill)...all in all this was not a very good week...most shooters shot very inconsistently....
Next week we play home against Forrest Hills...we only have 2 weeks left in the first half...
