SUMMARY
week 6 we played the first place Prince Cafe away...we had a team average of 50.07...but don't let that fool you...we only had 2 shooters over a 50 average...Bill had a 56.23 and Jeff had a huge 68.04...we had a very nice team 2.63 cricket average...but once again we only had 1/2 our shooters over a 2.0...Jr had a 2.11 and Johnny had an awesome 4.0 and Jeff lit the lamps quickly with a 4.67...we only had 3 missed ins and 5 missed outs...now that's some good shooting...Jeff was a double out master last night going 5 for 6 at the double outs...Ed and Jr went 1 for 1 each at the outs...as a team we shot very well...but some individuals were off their regular pace as we'll see in the low lights below...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were flying again this week...we had a total of 21 in fines...Andy had 6 fines and captured the prestigious "Skippy Award"....he had 3 under 20's, 1 C-rule and 2 squats at cricket...Jr had 5 in fines...Jr had 5 under 20's...not exactly consistent shooting...Ed owed 4 in fines for 3 under 20's and 1 C-rule...Ted had 4 in fines...3 for under 20 and 1 squat in cricket...Bill owed 1 for under 20 and Johnny owed 1 for a C-rule...Jeff went fine free...let's recap these fines...15 under 20's??? that's a lot of bad shots...3 C-rules??? keep the damn dart on the board....and 3 squats at cricket...imagine how good we'd be if we could actually hit what we were aiming for...
Ted had the low average of the night with a measly 41.39...Andy (43.71) and Jr (44.17) round out the under 45 average club...gotta start getting those averages up...our goal is over 50....under 45 is unacceptable at our level...
as a team we had 36.00% of our shots under a 40...if we look under the covers once again we see that the following culprits had at least 1 game average under a 40...Andy (20.67), Ed (22.80), Ted (24.50), Jr (27.00) and Johnny (38.00)...the following shooters had more than 30% of their shots under a 40...Ted (47.06%), Bill (46.15%), Ed (45.00%), Andy (41.18) and Jr (38.89)...that's a lot of inconsistent shooting going on there...remember 3 fat singles every round will exclude you from this list every week...if you can't hit the trips go for the fatties...
Andy (6) and Jr (9) had scores in the single digits...weak for even the boobie twins...
We only had 3 missed ins this week...a vast improvement from prior weeks...Ed had 2 missed ins and Jeff had 1 missed in...
We had 5 missed outs this week...Andy had 3 missed outs (actually 0 for 3)...Johnny and Jeff had 1 missed out each...NOTE: 4 of the 5 were in one game that we eventually won...that's some good shooting at the outs this week...
Ted had the lowest cricket average of the night with a 1.50...Andy had a 1.63 and Ed had a 1.83....That's not what I consider good effort at cricket...we have to keep these averages around 2.0....
Andy and Ted had 2 0-mark rounds in cricket...Jr had 1 0-mark cricket round...
Ted had a lousy 16.67% win rate (ie 1-5)....Ed had a 28.57% win rate (ie 2-5)...Bill with his stray trip 17's and trip 16's may get some more playing time unless I start seeing some improvements...
THE HIGH LIGHTS

let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game...and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff (51.67) and Bill (42.33) were the only shooters with all their game averages over a 40...let's not gloss over this...Jeff's lowest game average of the night was a 51.670....that's higher than everyone's total average (except Bill)...once again very consistent shooting Mr. Nooch...Jeff led the way with 86.36% of his shots over a 40...that translates to only 3 shots under a 40...Johnny shot 72.22% of his shots over a 40...that translates into only 5 shots under a 40...good shooting Johnny...
this week we only had 8 team tons...Jeff led the way with 3...Jr had 2...Ed, Ted and Bill each had 1....Johnny and Andy didn't feel like they needed to have any scores in the triple digits...
Jeff had the high score of the night with 148...which happened to be on an in shot...Jeff and Jr also shot a nice 140 each...
Jeff (3 @ 75.00%) led the way in double ins...Ed (2 @ 50%), Johnny (1 @ 100%), Jr (1 @ 100%) and Bill (1 @ 100%) had the other double ins...you know you're shooting well at the ins when your anchor shooters never even get a shot to hit an in...great job by the #1 and #2 shooters this week...
Jeff found the double ring in a big way this week...he had an impressive 5 double outs this week...Ed and Jr had 1 double out each...
Jeff and Johnny put on a cricket clinic this week...Jeff led the way with an awesome 4.67 average and Johnny was right there with a huge 4.0 average...Jr rounds out the over 2.0 club with a 2.11 average...
Jeff and Johnny led the way with 3 @ 100% >=3-mark rounds each...that's right combined Jeff and Johnny went 6 rounds and every round was over 3 marks...probably the best game we've seen shot EVER....Andy (2 @ 25.00%) and Jr (2 @ 22.22%) had multiple >=3-mark rounds...Ed and Ted each had 1 >=3-mark rounds for 16.67%...
Johnny led this week with a 100% win rate...Jeff had a 85.71% win rate....Andy had a 83.33% win rate...Jr and Bill each had 50% win rate...

Cricket-2 -- It was a cricket game of beauty...and I'm glad I was part of it...we finished the game in 6 total rounds...each round we shot >=3 marks per round...let's recap this hugely impressive game....this time i'm just going to show all 6 rounds in order starting with Jeff followed by Johnny....5, 3, 5, 5, 4, 4...That's about the best game we could shoot...and I believe we heard we gave their cricket team their first loss of the year...and we did it in HUGE style...great game Jeff and Johnny...
Cricket-3 -- Jr shoots a squat in his first round and Andy chucks a squat at 19 and later at 16...somehow these two characters find a way to win...let's recap this long assssss game...Jr shoots 0, 4, 5, 2, 1, 2, 2, 1, 2...Andy shoots 3, 0, 2, 2, 1, 0, 1, 4...

CONCLUSION
Every 501 game ended in 10 rounds or less except 1...that's some good shooting by both teams...Jeff was a beast tonight with 5 double outs, 68.04 average, high score of 148, a cricket average of 4.67 and 100% at >=3-mark rounds...now only if I could do that every week...gotta give some props to Bill for his 56.23 average (even though we know a lot was because of his misses into trip 17 and 16 on a regular basis)...doesn't matter how you do it as long as you do it consistently...can't look over Johnny's awesome cricket game where he shot a 4.0 average and 100% >=3-mark rounds...on the not so good side...Ted better pick up the pace...he posted the lowest '01 average at 41.39 and the lowest cricket average at 1.50...there's people on the bench now just aching to get into more games...I guess we can give a shout out to Andy for leaving 3 out of the 5 doubles that Jeff hit...that's what I call a good assist man...or better yet maybe he should just forfeit his turn when we get down to the doubles...remember when you used to hit some double outs Andy??? NEITHER DO I....haha had to do it...
Next week we play home against Tacony Billiards...and in case you haven't heard...Fitch was fired from the Ashton on Wednesday night...so who knows what we'll be walking into this Thursday...
