Darts 2013/2014 - 1st Half - Columbia Social Club #2 (home)

SUMMARY

week 9...don't know what the heck to say about this week...it started out bad and never got better...for the 2nd time this half the "B" team managed to win 0 games all night...not exactly sure how that's even possible...oh yeah look at the stats and it will become readily apparent...just plain ole bad shooting tonight...we are back into 3rd place with only a 1 game lead on the 4th and 5th place...if we shoot bad next week it's likely we will miss the playoffs...and unless we shoot lights out it's likely if we do make the playoffs that we will wind up being away...we have nobody to blame but ourselves for being in this situation...if we could have won tonight even 8-7 we'd be in 2nd place by 2 games and would only need to win next week 8-7 to stay in 2nd place...but things are all up in the air now...

40 fines...are you kidding me???  I guess we're having surf and turf with all these fines....Jr is this week's winner of the "Prestigious Skippy Award" with 11 in fines each...as you can see there wasn't much good shooting happening last night...

we missed out goal of a 50 average...if we take out Jeff's 74.88 our team average was 44.73...that's horrible...after 9 weeks of darts we are getting worse instead of better...and we can't blame it on being away since we were at home...

Jeff has over 75% for 9 weeks in a row...Jeff had 2 under 40's in his first game of the night (blame it on having his pupil's dilated) then didn't have another one the rest of the night...Johnny had another solid night with 72.73%...2 shooters less than 60% and 2 shooters less than 50%....let me explain how easy this is...no matter if you shoot at 20's or 19's all you have to do is hit two singles of your number...never realized the singles were so hard to hit...gotta get back to basics...3 fat singles is better than most people's averages...

CONCLUSION

don't know how we win double digit games this week...and then this we we get our butts handed to us and lose double digit games...not hitting the double ring is a huge issue...we have to find way to get in every game on the 1st or 2nd shooter...we have to take games out when we have the opportunity....at least you get next week off to think about how pathetic we shot this week...try picking up a dart...find some dart training videos on you tube...anything...I hate losing...in two weeks we have our final game of the 1st half regular season against Hemingways away....come ready to play...we'll be without Andy again...
