| It's week #5 and Hemmingways 2.0 is under construction...so we head out to Roxborough to play JD McGuillicuddys...Andy and Ted were both missing so we are shooting with 6....we still have not hit our stride yet...way way too many low scores for a division 4 team...only 1 person shot over a 50 average....that's not very good at all...the good news is Matt and Jeff both had 3 outs each...we had 2 cricket wins...and most importantly we won the night 8-7... I certainly think that the low scores and some missed ins and outs left a couple of games on the table that we could have won...time to get focused and find our consistency...we hit the midway point of the 1st half...time to go on a roll... |

we cut our fines from last week in half...we had 12 team fines this week...Jeff and John didn't owe any fines...Ed is the winner of the prestigious "Skippy Award" with 5 in fines...

for the 5th week in a row we had a team average over a 50...BUT...I think we need to try and get that above 55...this week we only had a team average of 51.15...we had one shooter over a 75...and 5 shooters under a 50 average...if you take the score over 75 out we only had a 46.27 team average which isn't very good ... time for everyone to start focusing on all their shots...

As a team we shot over 70% of our shots over a 40 for the 3rd week in a row...2 shooters over 85%...2 shooters over 70%...great consistency...BUT we also had 2 shooters below 50%...need to step that up...

Matt and Jeff had 3 outs each...Ed, John and Mike went a combined 0-5 at the outs...George didn't even have a shot at an out....once again...not scoring good numbers is preventing us from getting down to a lot of outs...teams are not missing many outs...so we have to score better to get down to the outs....and when we have a chance at an out we have to hit it....

hopefully the long ride to JD's is what made everyone lose their focus last night....it wasn't very consistent shooting to say the least...we had 4 single digit scores...we had 3 more shots in the teens...32 shots between 20-39...and countless shots in the 40's....that' no going to get it done in division 4...we are better shooters than that...everyone has to just relax and throw the darts they know they can....there isn't any rush...see the target and hit it....on the bright side we did win 2 cricket matches...2 shooters combined for 6 outs...and we had single digit missed ins...there are a lot of positives that we can keep building on...but there are also plenty negative things that we need to focus on to improve....we are half way through the first half of the season...5 weeks left....now is the time to find ways to win...next week we play Little Lit away....
