SUMMARY
another losing week...we went 7-8 against Forrest Hills...but i'm thinking .500 in division 5 is still pretty decent...as long as we don't lose by double digits I think we're making progress......still alot of missed ins this week...15 total team missed ins...and the first guys aren't getting the job done...we had a 50.73 team average this week...but only a 1.81 team cricket average...we did a better job at the double outs when we had a chance this week and finished the night with only 9 missed outs...a decent week against a good team...but it would still be nice to get back into the win column sooner or later...maybe we're saving up our wins for the playoffs...haha...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were flying again... we had 21 team fines...and 13 of them were under 20's...6 weeks into the second half and people still can't hit what they are aiming at...very disappointing...Ed captures the prestigious "Skippy Award" this week with 5 in fines...4 under 20's and 1 missed in...Johnny (2 missed ins & 2 squats at cricket), Jr (3 under 20's & 1 missed in) and Andy (3 under 20's & 1 C-rule) were right on Ed's tail with 4 fines each...Ted had 3 fines (1 under 20, 1 C-rule and 1 missed in)...Jeff had 1 fine for a squat at cricket...at least we'll have a big kitty at the end of the half...
Ed led the crap parade this week with a miserable 38.53 average...Andy wasn't too far behind with only a 40.95 average...averages under 45 are unacceptable...pick up the pace...can't wait to see how you two meat heads faired out under the covers...
as a team we had a very high 42.42% of our shots under a 40...that's not very good...and if we look under the covers once again we see these culprits had at least 1 game average under a 40....Ed (25.60), Johnny (28.00), Ted (29.00), Andy (35.00) and Jr (38.67)...3 shooters with game averages in the 20's..ughghghgh....Ed had 57.69% of his shots under a 40...Ted had 54.17% of his shots under a 40...Andy had 47.37% of his shots under a 40...Jr had 43.48% of his shots under a 40...and Johnny had 36.84% of his shots under a 40...2 shooters with more than half of their shots under a 40...are you f'n kidding me...that is not what I consider good shooting...esp at division 5...gotta do better...
This week we had 2 shooters with a score in the single digits...Ed shot a 7 twice in one game...and also had a 9 in another game...3 rounds in single digits? what's happening there ex-captain? Ted shot a 7 and an 8 in one game...the 8 was supposedly to help set up a shot...but what set shot leaves 75??? single digits suck...let's try a little harder boys...i can understand every once in a blue moon hitting a bad round but 5 single digit shots between the two of you...
As a team we had 15 missed ins...Ed led the way with 5 missed ins again...not a good night for Ed at 0 for 5 on the ins for the second week in a row...Jr had 4 missed ins...Jeff had 3 missed ins...Johnny had 2 missed ins and Ted had 1 missed in...the first guys aren't doing their job...we have to be more consistent on hitting those ins...
we had 9 missed outs this week...single digit missed outs is always good...Ed, Johnny and Jr each had 2 missed outs...Andy, Jeff and Ted each had 1 missed out...much better effort this week...let's keep it up...
Johnny continues to struggle at cricket and only posted a 1.00 average...Andy shot a 1.40 average...Ed and Ted shot a 1.50 each...that's some bad cricket shooting....
Johnny had 2 0-mark rounds...Jr, Andy and Jeff each had 1 0-mark round...
Ed, Jr, Andy and Ted each only had a 42.86% win rate...
THE HIGH LIGHTS
this week we posted a team average of 50.73 just barely getting over the 50 mark....Jeff led the way with another huge week with a 71.23 average...Jr shot a nice 52.76 and Ted shot a 52.58 average...Johnny rounds out the over 45 club with a 48.30 average...
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game.......and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff was the only shooter to not have any games under a 40.00 average...he had a low game of 45.00...Jeff led the way with another awesome week with 90.48% of his shots over a 40...that translates to only 2 shots under a 40...
this week we had an impressive 15 team tons...Jeff led the way with 6 tons...Ted had 3 tons...Ed, Johnny and Jr each had 2 tons...Andy is the only one missing from this list this week...love those tons...keep hitting them...
Jeff had the high score last night with a 145 (trip 20, trip 20...single bull...damn so close to closing out a 170) and 140...
Ted (3 @ 75.00%) and Andy (2 @ 100.00%) led the way with double ins...Johnny, Jr and Jeff each had 1 double in...
Jeff led the way with 2 double outs this week...Ed, Jr, Andy and Ted each had 1 double out...way to spread the outs around...
we had only a 1.81 team cricket average...well below our 2.0 benchmark...Jeff led the way with a very nice 3.33 cricket average...Jr shot a 2.14 to round out the over 2.0 club...only 2 shooters on this list is unacceptable...let's stay focused all night...
Jeff led the way with 5 >=3-mark rounds...that translated into 83.33%...Jr had 2 >=3-mark rounds...Jeff had 2 5-mark rounds and Jr had 1 5-mark round...
Jeff and Johnny finish the night with a 57.14% win rate...at least we broke the streak of nobody over a 50% win rate...

501-3 -- Five missed ins...Ted gets on...Jr hits an 18 and a 13...you guessed it ....a loss...
501-4 -- Jeff and Johnny miss the in shots...Andy gets on to save us for the second time tonight...Johnny hits a 19....and yet another loss...
501-5 -- Ed and Jr miss the ins...Ted gets on...Ted hits a 7 and an 8...Ed hits a 9 and a 13...you guess it...another loss...we're now at 4-5...
501-6 -- Jeff gets on...Johnny hits a ton...Jeff takes the game out...

CONCLUSION
well an up and down kind of night...still a lot of missed ins...and some low scoring shots...but we had 15 tons which was nice...and everyone contributed an out except Johnny...so it's good we spread them around...our cricket play as of late leaves a little to be desired...next week we play Coach's away...let's try and step our game up to get us "playoff ready"...
