SUMMARY
well we knew it was bound to happen....we posted a losing night at 7-8....it's our 1st losing week since the first week of this half....hopefully we got it out of our system and will be ready to win in the playoffs...missed outs (20) finally haunted us just as I expected against a team that can hit outs....we need to hit our outs when we get opportunities....missed ins seemed to come in bunches...we owed 6 fines for missed ins...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" continue to fly....we had 20 in fines last night...Ted once again claims the prestigious "Skippy Award" with 5 in fines......Rookie was close behind with 4 in fines....Ed and Jr each owed 3 in fines...John and Andy each had 2 in fines...and Jeff rounds out the fines with 1 fine...as much as these fines are padding our kitty, we need to get these fines down to single digits to help our dart wins....and for the first time in history the bookkeeper gives out some +5's....Ed, Jr and Ted collect 5 in fines each for shutting a team out in 501 ....good job...
We had only 1 shooter under a 45 average this week...Ted had a 44.34....
so my new favorite stat...the "under the covers" stat....if we look under the covers once again we see that everyone (except Jeff, Kenny and Johnny) had at least 1 game average under a 40....and this week we had 2 players with at least 1 game in the 20's....Jr (23.00) and his boobie partner Andy (26.33)....The other under 40's were....Ed (34.00), Ted (34.00)...We gotta start focusing on averaging over a 40 each game at a minimum...and we can't be throwing games in the 20's at all...also if we look even closer we can see that 33.33% of our shots were under a 40...now we're getting close to what I think is acceptable....we had a mix of THE GOOD...Jeff (11.11%), Jr (27.27%)....THE DECENT...Kenny (30.00%), Ed (34.78%), Andy (38.89%)...and THE UGLY...Johnny (44.44%) and Ted (45.00%)...much better as a team...but we need to do even better...there were some games we didn't even get a shot at an out...and that's due to missed ins and low scores....let's ALWAYS give ourselves a chance to win the game....
woohoo...no under 9's this week...
We slipped a bit at the missed ins...we had 9 total missed ins...Jeff and Johnny led the way with 2 missed ins each...Everyone else had 1 missed in....let's get back to killing those ins....can't start knocking the numbers down until we're in....
Not a great week on the out shots....20 missed outs....Jr and Ted led the way with 5 missed outs each...Ed and Kenny had 4 missed outs each....Jeff had 2 missed outs....Johnny was a perfect 1 for 1 at the out shots...good job....Andy "Mr Out" Curran didn't even get a shot at the outs last night...the team we played against killed the outs and didn't give us any room for error....like I said last week....missing that many outs will hurt come playoff time when teams always seem to step it up...focus on the outs...
We had 3 shooters under a 2.0 average last night...Jr led the crap parade with a 1.0 average...Kenny was close behind with a 1.25...and Johnny rounds them out with a 1.67 average....
Everyone finished the night over at a 50% win rate or better except Jr (42.86%) and Andy (16.67%)...see what happens when you don't get shots at the outs....
THE HIGH LIGHTS
We roll for the past few weeks when we don't average a 50 team average...this week we hit a 51.13 average and lose the week...hmmmm....I think we are the bizzaro team...Jeff led the way with a 62.29 average....Ed (51.91), Jr (51.67), Andy (51.08) all had over a 50 average....Johnny (48.40) and Kenny (48.17) round out the over 45 club....
we had 9 tons last night....Ed, Andy and Jeff had 2 tons each...Jr, Ted and Kenny each had 1 ton....Johnny wasn't in the mood to hit tons....Andy did a great job with the team highs of 152 and 135 in back to back games...
8 for 8 then 8 for 12 now 8 for 17...we're going in the wrong direction on the in shots...Ed led the way with 4 ins...Jeff had 2 ins....Johnny and Andy each had 1 in....
Ed led the way with 2 outs....Johnny, Jr and Jeff each had 1 double out...Andy didn't get a shot at the outs...it sucks when we can't give "darts in hand" to Andy "Mr. Out" Curran.....
we shot a team cricket average of 1.80....Jeff led the way with a 2.43, Andy had a very nice 2.40 and Ed rounds out the over 2.0 club with a 2.13 average....
Ed led the way with 3 >=3-mark rounds...Jeff had 2 >=3-mark rounds....and Andy had 1 >=3-mark round...
Ed led the night with a 57.14% win rate...Johnny, Jeff, Ted and Kenny each had a 50% win rate...

CONCLUSION
like I said last week...it's about wins....this week we didn't find ways to win...we played a team that actually hist the outs consistently....hitting the outs are very important...we need to get down to the outs and hit them...but holy crap we have 4 people with double digits outs for the half and we still have 1 week to go....Andy (14), Jeff (12), Johnny (11), Jr (11), Ed (9) and Ted (6)....With one week left I'm still 2 out shots behind Andy....and Johnny and Jr are breathing down both our necks...Ed looks poised to get into double digits for the half....great team effort throughout this year....I want to win this year...let's get ready to start winning some playoff games...
Next week we play Daddy O's at home....going into last night we had a 7 game lead over them...so I'm expecting us to control our fate for 1st place next week....8 wins should get us there....let's buckle down and get ready to put a dart ass whopping on the other team for the next 4 weeks....If you want to win...then we will....as a team....everyone do their part....peace out my peeps...till next thurs....
