SUMMARY
well it's been a week...but this reporter finally got back behind his computer of smack to tell you about the good and the bad from a week ago...in what's another battle for first place we beat Daddy O's 8-7 this week...we started out 4-0 again in 801.....then we go 3-5 in 501...that's pretty horrible...at a minimum we should split....then 1-2 in cricket AGAIN...what happened to those 3-0 weeks we had going there....but I guess a win is a win and we stayed in 1st place....
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were fairly under control...only 13 in fines this week...Teddy once again claims the prestigious "Skippy Award" with 5 in fines....and jeez they were for throwing them off the board and under 20's...hit some fatties...and i'm not talking about chics either....Johnny followed close behind with 4 in fines....2 under 20's, a missed in and a squat shot in cricket....Jeff and Andy each had 2 fines....somehow Ed and Jr came out fine free....how is that even possible....those two guys stink...hahahaha....just kidding...i don't want to make anyone cry now....let's try and get under double digits in fines....and i'm not talking about individually....ha....
we had 3 shooters under a 45 average this week....Johnny led the crap parade with a measly 43.86 average....Andy followed closely behind with a 44.49 and Ed had a 44.72....I still don't know how that "A" team is any good with 2 of their shooters chucking up these kind of scores....oh wait...that's right Andy is money on the outs...and assists....that little guy rules...haha....
so my new favorite stat...the "under the covers" stat....if we look under the covers once again we see that everyone (except Jeff) had at least 1 game average under a 40....Ed (36.67); Johnny (24.67); Jr (37.00), Andy (32.50), and Ted (31.67)...We gotta start focusing on averaging over a 40 each game at a minimum...also if we look even closer we can see that 36.22% of our shots were under a 40...about 5% worse than last week...I think we have to strive for that percentage to be closer to 20-25%....let's see how that breaks down by player...now remember a higher percentage is BAD!!!!....Johnny (50.00%), Andy (45.00%), Ed (40.91%), Jr (36.36%), Ted (33.33%) and Jeff (13.64%)...let's work to get these under 25%.....or at a minimum under 33%...looking at the details we see that Johnny at 50.00%, Andy at 45.00% and Ed at 40.91% are too high...Jr at 36.36% and Ted at 33.33% are within my tolerance level...great job guys...and Jeff (with only 3 shots below a 40 for the 2nd week in a row) at 13.64% shot fairly solid...
There weren't any under 9's this week...good job keeping them in double digits...we had in total 6 under 20's...that number should be closer to 0....remember you really only have to hit one fatty of the number you're aiming at to prevent the under 20's....
Still missing a lot of in shots....we had 10 missed ins this week....I would love for this number to be in single digits...we should strive to get in the first round in every game...Jeff and Ed led the way with 3 missed ins each...Johnny had 2 missed ins...Jr and Andy had 1 missed in....Ted was a perfect 1 for 1....good job Ted...
We did a great job at the out shots...only 6 missed outs...that's the first time ALL year that we only had single digit missed outs...so one of two things...they whipped us to the outs or we hit the outs when we had our chances....actually it was a little of both....we lost 2 games by triple digits and 3 games by 48 points or worse....so we weren't getting down to out shots in those 5 games...but the 7 games we won we hit 7 of the 13 tries at the outs...and that's some good stuff...Johnny led the way with 3 missed outs...Jeff had 2 missed outs and Jr had 1 missed out....Ed didn't have a shot at an out...so guess what team had some of those losses without any shots at the out....Ted (1 for 1) and Andy (3 for 3) both went 100% at the outs...great stuff....at this point (since I did it for myself last week) I'd like to give Ted and Andy some mad props for doing so...haha....
We had 2 shooters under a 2.0 average last night...and that translated into a 1-2 record in cricket....Ted (1.67) and Ed (1.50) had our under 2.0 scores...and yes one of the losses....Jeff and Johnny both had over a 2.0 average but managed to chuck a squat shot each for the other pathetic loss of the night....
Ed and Ted led the way with their less than stellar 28.57% win rate...Jr with a 42.86% win rate rounded out the under 50% club...
THE HIGH LIGHTS
We fell just short of a 50.00 team average....we had a 49.46 team average....Johnny goes from first (last week) to worst (this week) with a 43.86 average...Jeff led the way with a 67.67 average and an impressive game with a high score of 100...wow...I'm awesome...oh wait that's right I only had 1 shot and hit a ton in our crappy performance in 501....and I checked it out...if i hit a normal shot (ie a 60 for me) then I still would have had over a 60 average....quit trying to find ways to bring me down...but i'll agree i gotta hit my in shots more regularly....JR shot a very nice 49.70 average and Ted hit a 46.32 to finish up the over 45 averages...we still need to be thinking about hitting 50 averages....
Tons were back to normal from last weeks 14.....we only had 7 tons this week...Jeff, Johnny and Teddy each had 2 tons...Jr had 1 ton....and Ed and Andy pretty much sucky suckied at the tons...ha....Jeff had the high score of the night with a 135....the 2nd week this half that glorious 180 just slipped away...a bounce out one week...and the wrong side of the wire this week....don't worry that 180 is coming soon...at least it better...i need a patch for my jacket we're winning this year....woohoo....go team....
Jeff and Jr led the way with 2 double ins each...Everyone else had 1 in shot....way to spread it around...but Jeff and Ed get your head out of your arse....and start killing those ins...
Andy led the way with a perfect 3 for 3 in double outs...Teddy went 1 for 1 in double outs...Jeff, John and Jr each had a double out....Ed didn't even get a shot at an out....we had a collective 53.85% out rate...I think anything over 50% is very respectable...now let's get down to out shots in the other games so we can win more games...
As a team we shot a very nice 2.21....but that still translated into a 1-2 record in cricket....Team loud (Andy 2.75) and drunk (Jr 2.80) won the only cricket game....Jeff (2.33) and Johnny (2.20) had the other over 2.0 averages....but still wasn't good enough for a win...because they blow and chucked squat shots...how embarrassing for the supposed "A" team....we stink...ha...we need everyone over the 2.0 average....and let's get back to winning all 3 cricket games....
Jr led the way with 3 >=3-mark rounds...Jeff, Andy and Johnny each had 2 >=3-mark rounds....Ted had 1....Ed didn't have any....Andy made one of his count by hitting a 5 mark round....
Andy led the night with a 85.71% win rate....Jeff and Johnny had a 71.43% win rate...

CONCLUSION
Another great start to the night (4-0) only to loose way too many after that (4-7)....we need to maintain our momentum throughout the night rather than get complacent when we start out with a lot of wins....we gotta learn to put teams away...we let too many teams hang around and we jeopardize winning the week too often...8-7 isn't horrible against the team that beat us in the semis last half...but we could have and should have done much better....I'll be the first to say that their board/toe board need a little to be desired....but we have to learn to adjust to where we are playing....let's just keep on winning so we won't have to play there in the playoffs...
Tonight we play Cannonball's, who was the only team to beat us this first half....I said it was a fluke back then....and we just shot plain ole bad.....let's show them why we are in 1st place tonight.....double digits wins will make me happy....let's have some fun...oh yeah winning is fun for me....
