SUMMARY
the third week of the season and we keep hovering around the .500 mark...this week once again we won the night 8-7 in a back and forth match...we remain inconsistent for the most part with some flashes of good shooting...this week missed outs hurt us again...we had 21 missed outs this week...but we made strides in other areas...we had a team 50.58 average and a 2.01 team cricket average...Also this week everyone had at least one double out except Andy...It's good to have a winning week but we had these guys with their backs against the wall and we couldn't put it away...rather we lost 4 in a row after we were on a 5 game win streak...but once again a winning week is a winning week...I would just like to see more consistent (i.e. good) shooting...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were flying again this week but at least an improvement over last week...this week we had 19 team fines...this week Johnny took the prestigious "Skippy Award" with an unusually high 7 in fines...he chucked 4 under 20's, 1 C-rule and 2 squat shots at cricket...Jr had 4 in fines (2 under 20's and 2 missed ins)...Ed had 3 in fines (1 C-rule and 2 missed ins)...Andy had 3 in fines (2 C-rules and 1 squat in cricket)...Ted had 2 in fines for missed ins...Jeff had a fine free night...4 total C-rules??? what's up with that....you guys have to start hitting the board with all 3 darts...
This week only Johnny had under a 45 average...Johnny finished the night with an unimpressive 42.91 average...
as a team we had 34.85% of our shots under a 40...an improvement over last weeks "under the covers"...if we look under the covers once again we see the following culprits had at least 1 game average under a 40....Johnny (31.50), Jr (32.33), Ed (33.50) and Ted (37.25)...still 4 shooters with a low game under 40...but at least this week they were all in the 30's rather than 20's like last week...I guess we'll take any improvement at this point...Johnny picked up were our #2 guy was last week...that's right with more than 50% of his shots under a 40...This week Johnny had 52.17% of his shots under a 40...not very good by any stretch of the imagination...Ted had 40% of his shots under a 40...Ed had 36.36 % of his shots under a 40...guys we can't have 1 out of every 2 shots under a 40...we also really shouldn't have 1 out of every 3 shots under a 40...lets focus on consistent scoring rounds...If you hit 2 fatties of what you are aiming for then you should always be over a 40...
We had 1 shooter with a score in single digits this week...Johnny's very first throw of the night was a measly 9....single digits suck...let's try and do better...
As a team we had 8 missed ins...anything in single digits is a good week...BUT...Ed led the way with 3 missed ins...Jr and Ted had 2 missed ins each and Jeff had 1 missed in...The "B" team struggled at the ins this week collecting 2 in fines from each of them...
we had 21 missed outs this week...WAY WAY TOO HIGH...we have been struggling at the outs all half so far...we have to start finding that double ring consistently...Andy led the way with 5 missed outs...Johnny and Ted had 4 missed outs each...Jeff and Ed had 3 missed outs each and Jr had 2 missed outs...Andy??? 0 for 5 on double outs this week...I thought the 2nd half is when you shine...pick up the pace...
Johnny led the way with a horrendous 1.00 cricket average this week...thank god your cricket partner is a stud...haha...Ted shot a measly 1.33 and Andy had a 1.44 cricket average this week...shooting under 2.0 isn't going to cut it in this division...let's take our time and get back to basics...
Johnny and Andy both chucked 2 squat shots in cricket...those 0-mark rounds don't help the average or the chance for the team to win...focus on what you are shooting at...
Ed and Ted had a 42.86% win rate tonight...we have to be over 50%....
THE HIGH LIGHTS
we had a team average of 50.58...good job getting that back over 50...Jeff led the way with a 61.17 average...Ted had a 51.84 average....Andy had a 50.59 and Jr had a 50.26 to round out the over 50 club...Ed had a 46.69 to round out the over 45 club...
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game.......and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff (49.00) and Andy (42.33) were the 2 shooters with their lowest games over a 40 average...Jeff led the way with 78.26% of his shots over a 40...that translates to 5 shots under a 40...Andy had 71.43% of his shots over a 40...that's 7 shots under a 40...Jr had 69.57% of his shots over a 40...I guess the old darts helped the cause a bit.....i love consistency that this stat helps show....I'm hope we start seeing more names on this list...
this week we had 9 team tons...Jeff led the way with 4 tons...Andy had 2 tons...Ed, Jr and Ted each had 1 ton...Johnny wasn't in the mood to hit high numbers and was the only shooter without a ton...love those tons...keep hitting them...
Jr had the high score last night with 123...Jeff was right behind him with a 121...
Jeff (3 @ 75.00%) led the way with double ins... Ed (3 @ 50.00%) was close behind...Jr and Johnny each had 1 double in...much better job at the double ins this week...the "B" team slipped a bit...but less than double digit misses is a good start...
the double outs were spread out again this week...Jeff had 2 double outs to put him in sole first place in YTD outs with 5 total...Ed, Johnny, Jr and Ted each had 1 out...good job spreading the outs around...Andy maybe next week you can help us with the outs too...
we had 2.01 team cricket average...Jeff led the way with his impressive 3.67 average...Jr had a 2.22 average and Ed had a 2.17 average...we need to start having everyone over a 2.0 average...
Jeff led the way with 4 >=3-mark rounds...and 2 of them were 6-mark rounds...Jr had 3 >=3-mark rounds...Ed and Andy each had 1 >= 3-mark round...
Johnny, Jr, Andy and Jeff each had a 57.14% win rate...we need everyone to be over 50% win rate...we love wins...

Jeff asks Andy if he's really an American Darts (ie baseball) shooter because he hits lots of 2's and 3's...
I'm starting to think people are at home practicing their corny quotes rather than their darts...shoot good darts and the quotes will come naturally...
CONCLUSION
a streaky week...5 wins in a row followed by 4 losses in a row...we need more consistency...but either way another winning week is a good thing...next week we play Dells at home...
