SUMMARY
2nd week in a row with double digit losses...the biggest issue was we had 18 missed ins and 15 missed outs...that cost us a lot of games...but overall this was a pretty good week as far as the stats are concerned....we had a team average of 56.29, 12 tons, 72% of our shots were over a 40, 2.04 team cricket average and excluding the 9 fines for missed ins we only had 6 in other fines (all under 20's)...it's disappointing that we shoot well and the wins don't come along with it...we just have to keep plugging along...and we must learn to hit the double ring...once we get back to hitting the ins and outs i'm sure the wins will start coming back...
THE LOW LIGHTS
"dolla bills" were under control this week...only 15 in fines...as a team we had 9 missed ins (all from the A-team) and 6 under 20's....that's actually a very nice improvement...Johnny captures the prestigious "Skippy Award" this week with 6 in fines...3 under 20's and 3 missed ins...Andy was right behind him with 25 in fines...2 under 20's and 3 missed ins...Jeff had 3 missed ins and Jr had 1 under 20...Ed and Bill were both fine free...great shooting guys...
Andy was the only shooter under a 45 average this week...he shot a 41.03...I guess too much bragging that you had the 2nd highest average...you gotta work to stay there...one bad week and you go from 2nd to 4th...you got lapped by Ted and Ed...jeez you stink....
as a team we had only 27.83% of our shots under a 40...if we look under the covers once again we see these culprits had at least 1 game average under a 40....Andy (25.67), Bill (34.33), Ed (34.50), Johnny (38.00)...Andy had 42.11% of his shots under a 40...Bill had 38.89% of his shots under a 40...and Jr had 35.29% of his shots under a 40...
This week we had 1 shooter with a score in the single digits...Andy shot a 9...
As a team we had 18 missed ins...Ed led the way with 5 missed ins...not a good night for Ed at 0 for 5 on the ins...Jeff had 4 missed ins...Johnny and Andy each had 3 missed ins...Jr had 2 missed ins and Bill had 1 missed in...18 missed ins are way too many...fortunately 7 of the missed ins were in one game alone that we actually came back to win...
we had 15 missed outs this week...Andy led the way with 5 missed outs...Johnny had 4 missed outs...Jeff had 3 missed outs...Ed, Jr and Bill each had 1 missed out...we really have to start focusing on the out ring...it's costing us games...
Bill had a 1.20 cricket average and Jr had a 1.67 cricket average to round out the under 2.0 club...

surprise surprise...for the 2nd week in a row nobody shot over a 50% win rate last night...Everyone had a 28.57% win rate except Jr & Andy who managed a 42.86% win rate by winning their cricket game...
THE HIGH LIGHTS
a very good recovery from last weeks under 50 average...this week we posted a team average of 56.29...very impressive...Jeff led the way with a huge 69.12...Ed had a very impressive 61.98 average...Bill (55.97), Johnny (55.48) and Jr (54.18) all had very nice averages...great job hitting the numbers guys...
let's look "over the covers" again this week...i think it's important to recognize the people that average over a 40 every game.......and those shooters that shoot better than 70% of their shots over a 40.....Jeff had a low game of 50.25 and Jr had a low game of 40.00...Jeff led the way with an awesome 90.91% of his shots over a 40...that translates to only 2 shots under a 40...Ed shot 77.78% of his shots over a 40...that's only 4 shots under a 40...Johnny shot 76.19% of his shots under a 40...that's only 5 shots under a 40...great consistency Ed and Johnny...glad we're seeing new names on this list...
this week we had 12 team tons...Jeff led the way with 4 tons...Ed had 3 tons...Jr had 2 tons...Johnny, Andy and Bill each had 1 ton...it's great that we got everyone in on the tons this week...love those tons...keep hitting them...
Jeff, Jr and Ed had the high score last night with 140...Bill shot a 125 and Johnny hit a 120...very nice high scores guys...keep banging those numbers...
Jr (3 @ 60.00%) and Jeff (3@ 42.86%) led the way with double ins...John and Bill each had 1 double in...
there were slim pickings once again at the double outs this week...Ed, Andy and Jeff each had 1 double out...can't stress it enough...if we don't have a lot of people on this list then we don't have a lot of wins...
we had 2.04 team cricket average...Andy led the way with a solid 3.0 average...Ed (2.17), Jeff (2.13) and Johnny (2.00) round out the over 2.0 club...
Andy led the way with 4 >=3-mark rounds...Jeff had 3 >=3-mark rounds...Johnny had 2 >= 3-mark rounds...Ed and Jr each had 1 >= 3-mark round...
NOBODY (for the second week in a row) finished over a 50% win rate...terrible...just plain terrible...

501-6 -- 2 rounds of missed ins and then Jeff misses another in...Johnny gets on then hits a 120...Andy throws a 9....Jeff follows that up with a 140...Jeff takes the game out....a very rocky start but we'll take the win...we're now at 4-6...
501-7 -- A round of missed ins followed by Ed's 5th straight missed in of the night...Jr gets on...Bill hits a 125...but still another one in the loss column...
501-8 -- Jeff gets on...Johnny hits an 11...3 missed outs and now we're at 4-8...
Cricket-1 -- Ed starts the game with a 4-mark round...then nothing but 1 and 2-mark rounds for the team...yup a loss...
Cricket-2 -- Jeff starts with a crappy 1-mark round...Johnny follows it up with a 4-mark round to get us back in the game...Jeff hit a >= 3-mark round every other round...We struggled at cork...Jeff hit 1, Johnny missed then Jeff hit 1...we had our chances...if only we could hit the cork...but since we couldn't it's another loss...
Cricket-3 -- Jr took after Jeff and starts with a crappy 1-mark round...Andy took after Johnny and follows it up with a 5-mark round to get them back in the game...they had a nice run where Andy hit a 3-mark round, Jr hit a 5-mark round then Andy hit a 4-mark round...Jr hits 2 corks to win...we finish 5-10...
Andy makes a very funny comment that I have chosen to censor from the blog so Johnny doesn't beat him up next week...
Andy gets free beer for being this big (imagine someone putting their thumb and finger close together)...
we had a lot of come from ahead losses....
CONCLUSION
if it wasn't for that damn double ring and the win and loss column we actually had a decent night...now we see why consistency on the doubles is important at this level...if you miss you don't get too many shots to hit it...next week we play home against Forest Hills...when you wonder if you can hit the double ring next week...remember what Thomas the Train said...I THINK I CAN...I THINK I CAN...
on the bright side at least we got our jackets and the color and style are actually pretty nice...
